Description

If you've stood on empty land and envisioned a functioning school—classes in session, fire systems verified, final inspections complete—and then delivered it, this role transforms that experience into repeatable execution at scale.

2 Hour Learning is constructing a nationwide network of private schools that condense a complete academic day into two hours. Learning velocity is meaningless without matching speed in the built environment. You'll own the full lifecycle of our ground-up projects: from site feasibility through certificate of occupancy. This is not conceptual work. These are real campuses in real markets, built under real deadlines and real accountability.

This role demands execution, not delegation. You'll design, sequence, clear obstacles, and deliver high-impact builds with exactness. You'll collaborate directly with Real Estate, Legal, Finance, and Campus Operations, embedding rigor and momentum into every interaction. We're not hiring a project coordinator. We need someone who builds. Someone who defaults to action, leverages AI instinctively, and has a proven record of converting limitations into results.

Prepared to launch the fastest school campuses in the nation? Let's begin.

What you will be doing

  • Executing ground-up campus builds—from undeveloped sites to certificate of occupancy—across multiple cities in the United States.
  • Producing feasibility analyses, budget projections, and permitting risk evaluations that inform site selection decisions.
  • Designing milestone-based construction roadmaps and delivery schedules, orchestrating internal and external stakeholders.
  • Navigating permitting schedules and regulatory complexities across different jurisdictions—forecasting delays and eliminating obstacles.
  • Engaging vendors and ensuring accountability through defined scopes, service-level agreements, and escalation protocols.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Waiting for consensus before taking action—this position drives from the front, not from behind.
  • Applying a one-size-fits-all approach—every location introduces unique zoning requirements, fire regulations, and design adjustments. Flexibility is essential.
  • Delegating ownership to others—you are the accountable party, not a message relay.
  • Spending extended time in planning mode—you operate with speed, remove friction, and create clarity even with incomplete information.
  • Treating this as a standard nine-to-five—this is a demanding, high-impact position. The mission is urgent. Your commitment will reflect that.

Key responsibilities

Launch fully functional school campuses on schedule and within budget—beginning with raw land and concluding with operational facilities serving students.

Candidate requirements

  • Based in the United States with authorization to work without requiring sponsorship.
  • Available to travel up to 60%, including for site assessments, vendor coordination, and jurisdictional reviews.
  • Successfully led a minimum of three ground-up construction projects from pre-construction phases through final delivery.
  • Documented success managing complete build cycles across multiple markets in the United States.
  • Comprehensive understanding of permitting, zoning, and regulatory approval workflows across varying jurisdictions.
  • Established capability to oversee vendors, budgets, and schedules in high-pressure environments.
  • Effective cross-functional communicator who secures alignment among legal, real estate, finance, and operations teams.
  • Proficient with AI tools to enhance output quality, automate processes, and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Prepared to commit 40-60 hours per week with urgency, professionalism, and full ownership.

Nice to have

  • Background in education, healthcare, retail, or other sectors with standardized buildout models.
  • Experience in elite consulting firms, development companies, or senior construction leadership positions.
  • Working knowledge of fire code, ADA compliance, and licensing standards for institutional facilities.
