Solutions Engineer   $150,000 USD/year

Description

If you're the kind of engineer who grows restless with routine ticket management but comes alive when tackling meaningful technical challenges with tangible results — this role deserves your attention. We're looking for someone who wants more than writing code or adjusting configurations. We need an operator ready to own the technical success of education technology that transforms student outcomes.

Studient doesn't simply layer AI onto legacy systems. We've created something distinct: the Motiventionâ„¢ platform. This is a sophisticated integration of AI and motivation science that provides real-time, individualized mastery pathways for learners. When school systems implement our technology, students who were two years behind progress 4.6x faster. We support this with an outcomes-based guarantee: districts are billed only when students demonstrate measurable advancement.

Your role is critical here. As the bridge between our technology and district IT infrastructure, you'll ensure every deployment runs smoothly, reliably, and quickly. You'll diagnose intricate technical challenges, translate requirements across teams, and partner directly with district technology leaders to maintain system integrity. Your contributions enable teachers to focus on instruction, students to flourish — and our platform to produce verified results.

Ready to engineer the infrastructure for something that genuinely counts?

What you will be doing

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical challenges related to district IT environments, SIS integrations, and platform deployment — frequently in real time.
  • Facilitating IT onboarding sessions with district technology stakeholders to confirm system compatibility, data security protocols, and configuration accuracy.
  • Building and sustaining automated workflows across SIS systems, HubSpot, Google Sheets, APIs, and AWS QuickSight.
  • Working cross-functionally with sales, support, and implementation teams to accelerate adoption and minimize time-to-impact.
  • Creating documentation, developing scalable templates, and eliminating reliance on ad hoc solutions or siloed expertise.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Working in isolation, writing code with no line of sight to real-world outcomes.
  • Delivering classroom training or managing instructional change — your focus is on systems, not pedagogy.
  • Navigating excessive bureaucracy to accomplish objectives — we prioritize speed, clarity, and autonomy.
  • Building custom integrations from scratch every time — we rely on established playbooks and automation for consistency.
  • Managing ambiguous support requests — you'll work within structured priorities and clear context.

Key responsibilities

Deliver seamless, scalable MTSS platform implementations that minimize district IT friction, expedite adoption, and enable measurable improvements in student outcomes.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience supporting K–12 school IT systems, with working knowledge of SIS platforms and integration tools like Clever.
  • Solid technical problem-solving abilities and the capacity to translate complex systems for non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot, Google Sheets (including automation), and data visualization via AWS QuickSight or similar tools.
  • Understanding of FERPA and student data privacy standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be comfortable facilitating calls, troubleshooting on-site, and collaborating across teams.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S., able to travel up to 70%, and able to pass background checks required for working in K–12 environments.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AI tools and experience applying them to automate or enhance workflows.
  • Prior experience in technical implementation roles within EdTech or school districts.
  • Knowledge of API-based integrations and data flow architecture.
