Implementation Engineer   $150,000 USD/year

Description

If you're the kind of engineer who finds ticket-pushing tedious but comes alive when tackling high-stakes technical challenges with tangible results — this is worth your attention. This position is built for the engineer who seeks more than configuration or code. It's designed for the operator who wants to own the delivery of education technology that transforms outcomes.

At Studient, we don't simply layer AI onto legacy infrastructure. We've created something distinct: the Motiventionâ„¢ platform. It's a robust integration of AI and motivational science that provides real-time, individualized mastery pathways for learners. When districts implement our system, students who were two years behind accelerate 4.6x faster. We support this with a results-based guarantee: districts pay only when students demonstrate measurable progress.

That's your role. As the critical connection between our technology and district IT infrastructure, your responsibility is ensuring every implementation is seamless, dependable, and efficient. You'll troubleshoot complex technical obstacles, interpret system requirements, and engage directly with district IT leadership to maintain operational integrity. Your contributions enable teachers to focus on instruction, students to succeed — and our platform to produce outcomes.

Ready to engineer the foundation of something genuinely impactful?

What you will be doing

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical challenges related to district IT environments, SIS integrations, and platform functionality — frequently in real time.
  • Conducting IT onboarding sessions with district leadership to confirm system compatibility, data security protocols, and clean configurations.
  • Building and sustaining automated workflows spanning SIS systems, HubSpot, Google Sheets, APIs, and AWS QuickSight.
  • Working cross-functionally with sales, support, and implementation teams to accelerate adoption and shorten time-to-value.
  • Creating process documentation, developing reusable templates, and minimizing reliance on tribal knowledge or improvised solutions.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Working in isolation, writing code with no line of sight to its real-world impact.
  • Conducting teacher training or managing classroom-level transitions — your focus is on systems, not pedagogy.
  • Navigating bureaucratic obstacles to execute tasks — we prioritize speed, clarity, and autonomy.
  • Building one-off integrations from scratch — we rely on established playbooks and automation for consistency.
  • Managing ambiguous support tickets — you'll work within structured priorities and clear context.

Key responsibilities

Deliver seamless, scalable MTSS platform implementations that minimize district IT friction, drive faster adoption, and enable measurable student outcomes.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience supporting K–12 school IT systems, with fluency in SIS platforms and integration tools like Clever.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex systems for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot, Google Sheets (including automation), and data visualization via AWS QuickSight or similar tools.
  • Understanding of FERPA and student data privacy standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be comfortable leading calls, troubleshooting in the field, and collaborating across functions.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S., able to travel up to 70%, and able to pass background checks required for working in K–12 environments.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AI tools and experience using them to automate or optimize workflows.
  • Prior experience in technical implementation roles within EdTech or school districts.
  • Knowledge of API-based integrations and data flow architecture.
