Technical Implementation Specialist   $150,000 USD/year

Description

If you're someone who finds routine ticket work uninspiring but comes alive when tackling high-stakes technical challenges with measurable real-world impact — this is worth your attention. This position is designed for the engineer who seeks more than writing code or managing configurations. It's built for the operator ready to take ownership of education technology that transforms student outcomes.

Studient doesn't simply layer AI onto legacy infrastructure. We've created something fundamentally different: the Motiventionâ„¢ platform. It combines artificial intelligence with motivation science to provide real-time, personalized mastery pathways tailored to each learner. When districts implement our system, students who were two years below grade level progress 4.6x faster. We support this with an outcomes-based guarantee: districts are billed only when students demonstrate measurable academic gains.

Your role is critical to this mission. Serving as the bridge between our technology and district IT infrastructure, you'll ensure every deployment is seamless, dependable, and efficient. You'll diagnose intricate technical challenges, translate system requirements into actionable terms, and collaborate directly with district IT leaders to maintain operational integrity. Your contributions enable teachers to focus on instruction, students to achieve growth — and our platform to deliver proven results.

Ready to engineer the infrastructure behind something that genuinely makes a difference?

What you will be doing

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical challenges connected to district IT environments, SIS integrations, and platform functionality — frequently under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Facilitating IT onboarding sessions with district teams to confirm system compatibility, uphold data security protocols, and finalize seamless configurations.
  • Building and sustaining automated workflows spanning SIS systems, HubSpot, Google Sheets, APIs, and AWS QuickSight.
  • Partnering cross-functionally with sales, support, and implementation teams to accelerate adoption and minimize time-to-value.
  • Creating documentation, developing scalable templates, and eliminating reliance on tribal knowledge or improvised solutions.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Working in isolation, writing disconnected code without understanding its downstream impact.
  • Delivering teacher training or managing classroom-level implementation — this role centers on systems, not pedagogy.
  • Navigating organizational red tape to accomplish objectives — we prioritize speed, transparency, and independence.
  • Building custom integrations from scratch every time — we rely on established playbooks and automation to ensure consistency.
  • Responding to ambiguous support requests — you'll work within defined structure, context, and prioritization frameworks.

Key responsibilities

Deliver seamless, scalable MTSS platform implementations that minimize district IT friction, expedite system adoption, and enable measurable improvements in student achievement.

Candidate requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting K–12 school IT infrastructure, with working knowledge of SIS platforms and integration tools like Clever.
  • Robust technical troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to communicate complex systems clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Hands-on proficiency with HubSpot, Google Sheets (including automation features), and data visualization platforms such as AWS QuickSight or equivalent tools.
  • Working knowledge of FERPA and student data privacy compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable leading stakeholder calls, troubleshooting onsite, and coordinating across departments.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S., willing to travel up to 70%, and able to satisfy background check requirements for K–12 school access.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI tools and applying them to streamline or enhance operational workflows.
  • Background in technical implementation or support roles within EdTech companies or school districts.
  • Understanding of API-based integrations and data flow system architecture.
