What you will be doing
- Conduct one-on-one and small-group mentoring sessions with PreK Guides, demonstrating effective techniques and recognizing quantifiable progress
- Create and lead play-based instruction blocks that integrate SEL, literacy, numeracy, and motor development, demonstrating exemplary practice for the entire team
- Evaluate and standardize Guide records each week for alignment with rubrics and practical applicability, facilitating calibration meetings to maintain transparency on milestone achievement
- Develop family communications and conduct team alignment meetings that synchronize priorities and uphold collective standards for campus-wide PreK readiness objectives
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related field; Master's degree or specialized certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in early childhood education, early childhood development, or related field
- Direct experience facilitating learning for young children ages 3 to 5
- Demonstrated success designing and executing play-based educational programs or curricula that support developmental milestones e.g. Montessori
- At least 1 year of experience in coaching or supervising a team of educators with accountability for performance outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for effective family correspondence and team coordination
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- Commitment to in-person work at Alpha Austin campus with relocation support offered as needed
