What if intentional play could drive measurable progress across every developmental domain?

Alpha's PreK program is built on a different foundation. We combine play-driven curriculum design with live developmental tracking — no scripted lesson plans, no box-ticking exercises. You will craft adaptive learning experiences spanning all readiness areas, guide a team of educators to execute them with both rigor and warmth, and monitor quantifiable milestone achievement for each child in your cohort.

This role is rooted in classroom practice. Approximately one-third of your time will be spent in learning environments — demonstrating facilitation methods, observing instruction, and leading alignment sessions. The remainder is dedicated to building curriculum, coaching educators with clear performance targets, and delivering data-informed updates to families. The outcomes are visible: four-year-olds reaching developmental markers ahead of schedule, educators elevating their performance ratings weekly, and families becoming champions of the program.

Guide the educators. Build the learning. Apply today.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct individual and small-group coaching for PreK educators, demonstrating effective methods and recognizing quantifiable progress
  • Build and lead play-based instructional experiences that integrate social-emotional learning, early literacy, math foundations, and physical development, setting the standard for team execution
  • Evaluate and align educator documentation each week for rubric consistency and clarity, facilitating alignment meetings to ensure milestone tracking remains transparent
  • Develop communications for families and coordinate team meetings that unify focus and sustain collective commitment to campus-wide PreK outcomes

What you will NOT be doing

  • Executing prescriptive lesson plans or procedure-heavy frameworks — you'll create responsive, play-centered themes informed by live assessment data
  • Delivering a pre-packaged curriculum determined elsewhere — you control the quarterly and weekly instructional architecture
  • Operating without structured feedback channels — coaching dialogue and alignment reviews are integrated weekly
  • Overseeing K-12 learners using software-based instruction — this position is entirely focused on early childhood, in-person, classroom-embedded practice

Key responsibilities

Lead campus-wide PreK readiness results through educator development, program consistency, and engaging, evidence-informed classrooms.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related field; Master's or specialized training preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in early years education, early childhood development, or related field
  • Experience working with groups of young children ages 3 to 5
  • Proven ability to design and implement play-based educational programs or curricula that advance developmental milestones e.g. Montessori
  • At least 1 year of experience coaching or managing a team of educators with performance accountability
  • Experience preparing written family progress updates and leading team alignment meetings in an educational setting
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Willingness to work in-person at Alpha Austin campus with relocation support provided if needed

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with edtech platforms, adaptive dashboards, or digital observation tools used in early childhood settings
  • Experience with behavior guidance strategies and co-regulation techniques for children ages 3-5
