PreK Instructional Coach   $150,000 USD/year

Description

  • $150,000 annual compensation, distributed weekly

What if every instance of play could drive quantifiable advances in early development?

Alpha reimagines education in ways that depart sharply from conventional models. Our PreK offering integrates play-based curriculum with live developmental metrics — no prescribed lesson templates, no procedural checklists. You will construct adaptive learning experiences spanning all readiness areas, mentor a cadre of Guides to execute them with both accuracy and enthusiasm, and monitor quantifiable milestone achievement for each child in your cohort.

This position demands active leadership. Approximately one-third of your hours will be classroom-based — demonstrating facilitation methods, observing practice, and conducting calibration discussions. The remainder involves curriculum creation, coaching Guides toward concrete and measurable targets, and updating families with research-informed communications. The outcomes of your efforts will be visible: four-year-olds reaching developmental markers ahead of schedule, Guides advancing their performance metrics weekly, and parents transforming into champions of the program.

Mentor the Guides. Architect the play. Submit your application today.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct individual and small-group coaching with PreK Guides, demonstrating techniques and recognizing quantifiable achievements
  • Build and lead play-based learning sessions that integrate SEL, literacy, numeracy, and motor development, exemplifying excellence for the team
  • Evaluate and calibrate Guide records each week for rubric consistency and clarity, facilitating calibration meetings to maintain milestone visibility
  • Compose family communications and convene team meetings that synchronize priorities and uphold collective standards for campus-wide PreK readiness targets

What you will NOT be doing

  • Executing scripted lessons or compliance-focused protocols — you will build flexible, play-centered themes informed by live data
  • Delivering a predetermined curriculum issued from leadership — you control quarterly and weekly instructional planning
  • Operating independently without structured feedback — coaching dialogues and calibration reviews occur weekly
  • Overseeing K-12 learners using app-driven platforms — this position is entirely devoted to early childhood, tactile, classroom-embedded practice

Key responsibilities

Lead campus-wide PreK readiness results through Guide mentorship, program consistency, and engaging, evidence-informed classrooms.
