Description

NOTE: This hybrid position requires in-person presence in San Francisco, Santa Barbara, or NYC.

In this position, you will guide every family's experience from initial outreach through enrollment, making sure each touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, care, and high standards. You will manage day-to-day correspondence, organize impactful admissions events, and keep applicant data accurate to support sound enrollment decisions.

If you excel in dynamic, purpose-driven settings—where responsiveness, structure, and accuracy have direct influence on family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role combines remote flexibility with consistent in-person participation at admissions activities.

What you will be doing

Manage and respond to the admissions inbox, providing prompt, considerate, and polished communication with prospective families (online and face-to-face)

Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with rigorous attention to accuracy

Attend all admissions events, including information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings, both in-person and virtually

Work closely with Lead Guides to arrange shadow day visits for prospective students

Maintain admissions platforms, records, and follow-up workflows with precision and currency

What you will NOT be doing

  • Shape admissions policy or render final enrollment decisions
  • Function in a strictly operational role without direct family engagement
  • Work within a slow-moving, overly procedural setting
  • Prioritize relationship development without disciplined execution and follow-up

Key responsibilities

This position ensures that a smooth, high-conversion admissions process fuels robust enrollment and family satisfaction across all Alpha campuses.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience in education, teaching, admissions, enrollment management, or a closely related area
  • 2+ years in customer-facing roles within admissions, enrollment, events, or similar functions
  • Proven administrative and organizational capability; you are dependable and detail-focused
  • Exceptional attention to detail and track record of maintaining accurate applicant files or CRM systems
  • Comfortable managing remote responsibilities alongside in-person campus duties
  • Able to adjust swiftly and succeed in a fast-moving, mission-oriented environment
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to work on-site in San Francisco; CA, Santa Barbara; CA or NYC; NY
