School Operations Manager   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at one of our campuses.

When campus operations function smoothly, they remain invisible. When they falter, everyone is affected. This position ensures Alpha campuses operate with reliability, safety, and professionalism—day in and day out.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational frameworks. Our classrooms operate at pace. Our expectations are elevated. This demands campus operations that are rigorous, adaptable, and designed for growth. This role is accountable for everything beyond the classroom that enables students and Guides to excel.

In this position, you serve as the operational foundation of the campus. You handle parent and staff communications, manage safety and security protocols, maintain smooth facilities and logistics operations, and ensure reliable technology access for students and staff. You intervene when systems fail, identify potential issues before they grow, and provide steady structure amid fast-moving environments.

This is not a limited administrative position. It is a practical, high-visibility role for someone energized by accountability, diversity of work, and execution. If you seek a position where your choices directly influence student safety, staff performance, and parent confidence, this role delivers genuine ownership and impact.

What you will be doing

  • Serving as a central contact for parents, students, and staff to deliver clear, timely, and professional communication
  • Running campus safety functions including entry protocols, health event responses, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising daily campus operations including attendance processes, transportation logistics, facility upkeep, and office functions
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation of incoming staff to ensure operational preparedness from the outset
  • Administering student devices and campus technology systems, functioning as the on-site Google Administrator and technical point person

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or influencing instructional content
  • Functioning in a strictly clerical or narrowly defined capacity
  • Working within a static or entirely predictable setting
  • Escalating unsolved issues rather than taking ownership of solutions

Key responsibilities

Sustain safe, efficient, and dependable campus operations that continuously enhance the experience of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or similar operational roles
  • Comfort with basic technology tasks including device setup, troubleshooting, and account administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across parents, staff, and vendors
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be available to work in person in Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA, Chicago; IL or Fort Worth; TX
