School Operations Manager   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at one of our campus locations.

If you're someone who takes action rather than waits for direction, this role is designed for you. This is a unique chance to join one of Alpha's most recently opened campuses and contribute meaningfully from the outset. You'll do more than join an existing team—you'll actively influence the culture, establish operational standards, and advance your career as the campus expands.

Alpha exists to challenge conventional education models. We're creating a superior alternative for students and their families. We need someone capable of taking complete ownership of both the new family enrollment experience and the operational functions that sustain daily campus performance.

This position goes beyond traditional admissions work. You won't spend your days confined to a desk generating templated correspondence or drowning in administrative tasks. You'll conduct meaningful campus tours for families, establish trust with prospective parents, and shepherd them through a customized, frictionless admissions process. Simultaneously, you'll maintain a campus environment that is secure, compliant, and consistently prepared to receive students and families with professionalism.

Alpha is a K–12 independent school reimagining childhood education. Through adaptive technology and skilled Guides, we provide individualized, mastery-oriented learning that equips students for real-world success, not merely standardized assessments. In this capacity, you'll serve as the living embodiment of that mission for every family entering our space.

If you're prepared to accelerate your growth while contributing to work that matters, we're interested in speaking with you.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting tailored, high-conversion campus tours that communicate Alpha's three core commitments and build family confidence in our educational approach.
  • Executing and managing strategic outreach initiatives with prospective families to advance them through the enrollment pipeline.
  • Implementing strict safety and child protection standards to maintain a demonstrably secure campus for students and families.
  • Managing comprehensive facilities operations, including scheduled maintenance, vendor relationships, and repair management.
  • Regularly reviewing performance data to optimize processes and enhance both operational effectiveness and enrollment results.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Being limited to one narrow, repetitive clerical function or isolated department.
  • Operating under restrictive, command-and-control oversight that limits your autonomy.
  • Dealing with procedural obstacles that impede substantive work.
  • Concentrating solely on documentation while remaining disconnected from the families and students you exist to support.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver an exceptional, streamlined admissions experience while ensuring a secure, operationally sound campus environment, allowing Alpha to expand and fulfill its commitments to families.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (no specific field required)
  • 1+ years experience in school admissions or enrollment
  • Experience working with children/students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, initiative, and self-management.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be available to work in person in Miami, FL; Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Roswell, GA or Raleigh, NC.
