Long-term role

Campus Operations Manager   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at one of our campuses.

A well-managed campus operates invisibly. A poorly managed one creates friction for everyone. This role ensures Alpha campuses function with reliability, safety, and precision—day in and day out.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational frameworks. Our classrooms operate at high speed. Our expectations are elevated. This demands operational infrastructure that is structured, adaptive, and designed to scale. This role controls everything beyond the classroom that enables students and Guides to deliver peak performance.

As the operational foundation of the campus, you coordinate communication with parents and staff, manage safety and security protocols, maintain facility and logistical systems, and ensure reliable technology access for students and staff. You respond when systems fail, identify potential problems before they grow, and provide stable structure in fast-moving environments.

This is not a limited coordination position. It is a hands-on, high-visibility role suited for someone who excels with accountability, diversity of tasks, and execution. If you seek work where your choices directly influence student safety, staff performance, and parental confidence, this role delivers genuine ownership and responsibility.

What you will be doing

  • Serving as a principal contact for parents, students, and staff to deliver timely, clear, and professional communication
  • Operating campus safety systems including entry management, health event response, emergency drills, record-keeping, and parent notification
  • Directing daily campus logistics including attendance processes, transport arrangements, facility oversight, and office administration
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation of new personnel to ensure operational preparedness from the outset
  • Administering student technology and campus devices, functioning as on-site Google Administrator and technical point person

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or influencing curriculum development
  • Functioning in a strictly clerical or narrowly defined capacity
  • Working within a slow-paced or entirely predictable setting
  • Escalating unresolved issues rather than driving solutions to completion

Key responsibilities

Sustain safe, efficient, and dependable campus operations that continuously enhance the experience for students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational roles
  • Competence with fundamental technology tasks including device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with parents, staff, and external vendors
  • Capability to handle competing priorities while preserving attention to detail
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be available to work in person in Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Lake Forest, CA or Chicago, IL.
