Long-term role

Campus Manager   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This position requires full-time on-site presence at one of our campus locations.

A well-run campus operates invisibly. A poorly run one creates friction for everyone. This position ensures Alpha campuses function with reliability, safety, and operational precision each day.

Alpha is developing an education model designed for global scale. Our learning environments demand speed and rigor. That requires operational infrastructure that is disciplined, adaptable, and scalable. This role is accountable for all non-instructional campus functions that enable students and Guides to excel.

As Campus Manager, you serve as the operational backbone of the site. You coordinate communication with parents and staff, manage safety and security protocols, maintain facility and logistical systems, and ensure technology infrastructure functions without disruption. You address operational failures immediately, identify risks before they materialize, and provide steady structure in fast-moving conditions.

This is not a limited administrative function. It is a hands-on, high-visibility role designed for individuals who excel under responsibility, complexity, and execution pressure. If you seek a position where your judgment directly influences student safety, staff performance, and parent confidence, this role delivers genuine authority and accountability.

What you will be doing

  • Serving as the central communication liaison for parents, students, and staff to deliver clear, timely, and professional correspondence
  • Directing campus safety functions including facility access, health response protocols, emergency drills, incident documentation, and family notifications
  • Coordinating daily operational systems such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and administrative workflows
  • Facilitating onboarding and operational training for incoming staff to achieve full readiness upon arrival
  • Administering student technology and campus IT systems, functioning as the on-site Google Administrator and primary technical resource

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or participating in academic teaching
  • Mentoring Guides or influencing curriculum design
  • Functioning in a limited clerical or narrowly defined administrative capacity
  • Working within a static or entirely predictable operational environment
  • Escalating unresolved issues without taking ownership of solutions

Key responsibilities

Sustain safe, efficient, and dependable campus operations that continuously enhance the experience for students, staff, and families.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (no specific major required)
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in office coordination, facilities management, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with foundational technology tasks including device configuration, basic troubleshooting, and user account management
  • Demonstrated written and spoken communication abilities across parent, staff, and vendor audiences
  • Capability to balance multiple priorities while sustaining precision and accuracy
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Must be available for in-person work at Lake Forest, CA; Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Chicago, IL; or Fort Worth, TX
