Admissions Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Your work will shape the first impression families form when considering where to entrust their child's education. Each interaction you manage—whether through email, live events, or direct conversation—will play a deciding role in whether a family commits to Alpha. This position is designed for someone who values precision, genuine connection, and consistent execution, recognizing that excellence in small details builds lasting confidence.

Alpha is constructing the world's most ambitious school model. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated expectations for students and staff alike. The admissions function is where that vision takes tangible form. Prospective families require more than information; they seek understanding, assurance, and proof that Alpha delivers meaningful distinction.

In this position, you will oversee the complete journey for families from initial interest through enrollment decision. You will field inquiries with speed and care, organize campus tours and shadow experiences, keep applicant data flawless, and help parents determine whether Alpha aligns with their goals. You are not simply supporting applications from behind the scenes—you are influencing outcomes directly.

This is a dynamic, campus-based role suited to someone who excels at managing competing priorities without sacrificing quality. If you are committed to operational excellence, transparent communication, and empowering families to choose wisely, you will find meaningful responsibility and influence here. If that resonates with you, we would like to connect.

What you will be doing

  • Answering inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours using clear, warm, and mission-consistent language
  • Organizing admissions events, campus tours, and shadow day experiences from planning through post-visit outreach
  • Maintaining applicant data with full precision across CRM platforms and admissions software
  • Conducting family consultations to clarify Alpha's approach, address concerns, and capture key observations
  • Collaborating with campus staff and admissions colleagues to ensure pipeline continuity and momentum

What you will NOT be doing

  • Determining who is admitted or defining enrollment strategy
  • Delivering classroom instruction or developing academic content
  • Employing pushy sales techniques or scripted outreach
  • Operating within ambiguous, unstructured processes

Key responsibilities

Deliver a frictionless, high-conversion admissions journey that transforms prospective interest into committed enrollment, ensuring families feel informed, valued, and enthusiastic about choosing Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple concurrent workflows
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
