Family Engagement Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

You are the person families recall when choosing where to enroll their child. From initial inquiry through final enrollment decision, you define how Alpha presents itself, communicates, and fulfills its commitments. This position is designed for someone who understands that responsiveness, precision, and genuine care are not competing priorities—they are baseline expectations.

Alpha is reimagining what school should be. Our campuses integrate academic excellence, technology-driven instruction, and a coherent educational philosophy that honors students and families alike. Admissions is the moment that philosophy becomes tangible. Families approach us with curiosity, doubt, and hope. Your responsibility is to transform uncertainty into trust.

In this position, you oversee the admissions journey once a family expresses interest. You will handle family questions promptly and professionally, organize campus tours and shadow day experiences, ensure applicant data remains accurate and complete, and facilitate meaningful conversations that clarify Alpha's educational model and help parents assess fit for their child. This is not a support role. You are client-facing, process-oriented, and responsible for shaping how families perceive and engage with Alpha.

This is an on-campus, high-tempo position suited to someone who thrives managing concurrent demands without sacrificing attention to detail or interpersonal warmth. If you value exceptional execution, clear communication, and building experiences that feel effortless to those you serve, this role provides significant autonomy and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours using welcoming, precise, and Alpha-consistent messaging
  • Designing and delivering admissions events, campus tours, and shadow day programming
  • Keeping applicant information current, accurate, and complete across admissions platforms and CRM systems
  • Conducting family meetings to clarify Alpha's educational model, respond to concerns, and capture insights
  • Collaborating with campus and admissions staff to ensure continuous progress for every family

What you will NOT be doing

  • Rendering final admissions or enrollment determinations
  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Relying on aggressive sales techniques or formulaic messaging
  • Operating in settings where expectations, standards, or direction are ambiguous

Key responsibilities

Create a credible, conversion-focused admissions experience that supports families from initial outreach through confident enrollment commitment.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail
  • Availability to work on-campus in Miami, FL, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or parent-facing programs
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
