Admissions Specialist   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Every interaction you have with prospective families will help determine whether they choose Alpha for their child's education. The emails you craft, the events you organize, and the conversations you facilitate all play a direct role in enrollment decisions. This position is designed for someone who values precision, warmth, and consistent follow-through—someone who knows that excellence in the details builds lasting trust.

Alpha is creating the world's most ambitious school model. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-driven learning, and elevated expectations for students and staff alike. Admissions is where this vision becomes tangible. Families seek more than information; they require clarity, confidence, and assurance that Alpha delivers on what truly matters.

In this position, you will own the complete journey for prospective families from their initial inquiry forward. You'll answer questions promptly and with care, organize campus tours and shadow day experiences, keep applicant data flawless, and help parents understand how Alpha operates and whether it aligns with their needs. You won't be processing paperwork behind the scenes—you'll be actively influencing enrollment outcomes.

This is an on-campus, fast-paced role suited to someone who excels at managing competing priorities without losing track of anything. If you're driven by doing work correctly, communicating with precision, and empowering families to make well-informed choices, you'll discover meaningful ownership and influence here. If that resonates with you, we'd like to connect.

What you will be doing

  • Answering inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours using clear, warm, and Alpha-aligned language
  • Organizing admissions events, campus tours, and student shadow experiences including logistics and post-event follow-up
  • Maintaining applicant data with full accuracy in CRM and admissions platforms
  • Conducting meetings with families to describe Alpha's educational model, respond to questions, and capture key insights
  • Collaborating with campus and admissions colleagues to ensure pipeline continuity and momentum

What you will NOT be doing

  • Determining admissions outcomes or establishing enrollment policies
  • Delivering instruction or overseeing curriculum development
  • Employing aggressive sales techniques or scripted outreach with families
  • Operating within a slow-moving or ambiguously structured process framework

Key responsibilities

Deliver a smooth, high-conversion admissions experience that transforms prospective interest into committed enrollment, ensuring families feel informed, respected, and enthusiastic about joining Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple concurrent workflows
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
