Admissions Specialist   $75,000 USD/year

Description

You will serve as the first point of contact for families considering where to entrust their child's education. Each email you write, event you coordinate, and interaction you facilitate will shape whether a family selects Alpha. This position is designed for someone who values accuracy, genuine connection, and reliable execution—and who recognizes that thoughtful attention to detail builds confidence.

Alpha is developing the most forward-thinking school model globally. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated standards for students and staff alike. Admissions is where that vision takes tangible form. Families require more than information; they seek understanding, assurance, and evidence that Alpha stands apart in meaningful ways.

In this capacity, you will manage the complete journey for interested families from initial inquiry onward. You will address questions promptly and with care, arrange campus tours and shadow experiences, keep applicant data meticulously organized, and help parents understand Alpha's approach and determine fit. You are not simply handling paperwork—you are influencing critical family decisions.

This is a dynamic, campus-based position suited to someone who excels at managing competing demands without losing focus. If you are committed to excellence, clear communication, and empowering families to make well-informed choices, you will discover meaningful responsibility and influence here. If that describes you, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours using clear, personable, and Alpha-consistent language
  • Organizing admissions events, campus tours, and shadow day experiences from planning through follow-up communication
  • Maintaining applicant information with full precision in CRM and admissions platforms
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational model, respond to concerns, and capture feedback
  • Collaborating with campus staff and admissions colleagues to ensure efficient pipeline progression

What you will NOT be doing

  • Determining admissions outcomes or establishing enrollment guidelines
  • Delivering instruction or overseeing academic content
  • Pursuing families using high-pressure sales methods or templated scripts
  • Operating within a slow-paced or ambiguously structured workflow

Key responsibilities

Build a smooth, high-impact admissions journey that converts prospective interest into committed enrollment while ensuring families feel informed, valued, and enthusiastic about joining Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple concurrent workflows
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Experience in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Background facilitating admissions events or personalized onboarding experiences
  • Ease working in rapidly evolving, technology-forward settings
