Admissions Specialist   $75,000 USD/year

Description

You will serve as the first point of contact for families considering Alpha for their child's education. The emails you write, events you coordinate, and conversations you facilitate will have a direct impact on enrollment decisions. This position is designed for someone who values precision, genuine connection, and consistent execution—and who recognizes that attention to detail builds confidence.

Alpha is constructing the world's most ambitious school model. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated standards for students and staff alike. Admissions is where that vision becomes tangible. Families require more than information; they need clarity, assurance, and evidence that Alpha represents a meaningful alternative.

In this position, you are accountable for the complete journey of prospective families from initial inquiry forward. You will address questions promptly and with care, organize campus tours and shadow day experiences, ensure applicant data remains accurate and current, and help parents understand how Alpha operates and whether it aligns with their goals. You are not simply managing paperwork—you are influencing outcomes.

This is a dynamic, campus-based position suited to someone who excels at managing competing demands without compromising quality. If you are committed to excellence in execution, clear communication, and supporting families through important decisions, you will find meaningful responsibility and influence here. If this describes you, we would like to connect.

What you will be doing

  • Addressing inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours using clear, warm, and on-brand communication
  • Organizing admissions events, campus tours, and shadow day experiences from planning through post-visit follow-up
  • Maintaining applicant data with precision and consistency across CRM platforms and admissions tools
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational approach, respond to concerns, and capture relevant details
  • Collaborating with campus staff and admissions colleagues to ensure prospective families progress efficiently through the pipeline

What you will NOT be doing

  • Determining admissions outcomes or influencing enrollment policy
  • Delivering instruction or contributing to curriculum development
  • Employing high-pressure sales techniques or scripted outreach
  • Operating within ambiguous or unstructured workflows

Key responsibilities

Deliver a smooth, high-impact admissions journey that converts prospective interest into committed enrollment while ensuring families feel well-informed, respected, and enthusiastic about joining Alpha.

  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple concurrent workflows
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
