Family Engagement Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

You will serve as the initial point of contact for families exploring where their child will begin their educational journey. Each message you compose, event you organize, and interaction you facilitate will directly shape whether a family selects Alpha. This position is designed for someone who values accuracy, genuine connection, and reliable execution—someone who recognizes that thoughtful attention to detail builds confidence.

Alpha is constructing the world's most ambitious educational model. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated standards for students and staff alike. The admissions function is where this commitment becomes tangible. Families require more than information; they seek understanding, assurance, and evidence that Alpha represents meaningful differentiation.

In this capacity, you assume responsibility for the complete journey of interested families from initial contact forward. You will address questions promptly and with care, organize campus tours and student observation opportunities, keep applicant data immaculate, and help parents evaluate how Alpha operates and whether it aligns with their needs. You are not simply managing paperwork behind the scenes—you are actively influencing outcomes.

This is a dynamic, campus-based position suited to someone who excels at managing competing demands without losing control. If you are committed to excellence, clear communication, and empowering families to make well-informed choices, you will discover meaningful responsibility and influence here. If that describes you, we would like to connect.

What you will be doing

  • Addressing inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours using clear, warm, and Alpha-consistent language
  • Organizing admissions activities, campus tours, and student shadow experiences from planning through post-event communication
  • Maintaining applicant data with full precision across CRM platforms and admissions systems
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's approach, respond to concerns, and capture key observations
  • Collaborating with campus and admissions colleagues to ensure pipeline continuity and momentum

What you will NOT be doing

  • Determining admissions outcomes or establishing enrollment guidelines
  • Delivering instruction or overseeing academic programming
  • Pursuing families using high-pressure sales methods or prepared scripts
  • Operating within a sluggish or ambiguously structured workflow

Key responsibilities

Deliver a frictionless, high-conversion admissions journey that transforms initial curiosity into committed enrollment, ensuring families feel informed, valued, and enthusiastic about becoming part of Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple concurrent workflows
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
