Family Engagement Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

You will serve as the first point of contact for families considering Alpha for their child's education. Each email, event, and interaction you facilitate will play a direct role in shaping whether a family decides to enroll. This position is designed for someone who values accuracy, genuine connection, and consistent execution—someone who knows that careful attention to detail builds trust.

Alpha is constructing one of the most ambitious educational models in existence. Our campuses integrate demanding academics with technology-driven instruction and hold both students and staff to high standards. Admissions is where this vision takes tangible form. Families require more than just information; they need transparency, reassurance, and a clear understanding of what makes Alpha distinct.

In this position, you will manage the complete journey for prospective families from initial inquiry forward. You will reply to questions promptly and with care, organize campus tours and shadow day experiences, ensure applicant data remains flawless, and help parents understand Alpha's approach and fit. You are not operating behind the scenes—you are influencing enrollment outcomes directly.

This is a dynamic, campus-based position suited to someone who excels at balancing multiple priorities without error. If precision, clear communication, and supporting families through important decisions matter deeply to you, this role offers genuine responsibility and measurable impact. If that resonates, we'd like to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours with clarity, warmth, and messaging aligned to Alpha's values
  • Organizing admissions events, campus tours, and shadow days—handling logistics through post-event follow-up
  • Maintaining applicant data with full accuracy in CRM and admissions platforms
  • Conducting family meetings to clarify Alpha's educational model, address questions, and capture key insights
  • Collaborating with campus and admissions colleagues to ensure smooth pipeline progression

What you will NOT be doing

  • Determining admissions outcomes or establishing enrollment policies
  • Delivering instruction or overseeing academic content
  • Pursuing families using high-pressure sales methods or scripted pitches
  • Operating within ambiguous or slow-moving procedural structures

Key responsibilities

Deliver a streamlined, high-conversion admissions journey that converts prospective interest into committed enrollment, ensuring families feel informed, valued, and enthusiastic about joining Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple concurrent workflows
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
