Admissions Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You are the person families will remember when they choose where to enroll. From initial inquiry through final commitment, you define how Alpha feels, communicates, and fulfills its commitments. This position is designed for someone who understands that speed, precision, and thoughtfulness are not competing priorities—they are baseline expectations.

Alpha is reimagining what school can be. Our campuses integrate academic excellence, technology-driven instruction, and a coherent philosophy that honors both students and their families. Admissions is where that philosophy becomes tangible. Families arrive curious, uncertain, and optimistic. Your role is to turn ambiguity into clarity.

In this position, you own the admissions journey after initial interest has been expressed. You will reply to family questions promptly and with professionalism, organize campus tours and shadow experiences, keep applicant data accurate and current, and facilitate meaningful conversations that help parents evaluate whether Alpha's model aligns with their child's needs. This is not an administrative support role. You are externally focused, process-oriented, and responsible for how families perceive and engage with Alpha.

This is an on-campus, high-tempo role suited for someone who thrives managing competing demands while maintaining both rigor and empathy. If you value flawless execution, effective communication, and building experiences that feel effortless to families, this role provides genuine ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours with communication that is clear, inviting, and consistent with Alpha's identity
  • Organizing and facilitating admissions events, campus visits, and shadow day experiences for prospective students
  • Ensuring applicant information remains precise and current across admissions platforms and CRM systems
  • Conducting family meetings to clarify Alpha's educational philosophy, respond to concerns, and capture input
  • Collaborating with campus leadership and admissions staff to ensure every family progresses smoothly through the pipeline

What you will NOT be doing

  • Making final decisions regarding admissions or enrollment
  • Leading classroom instruction or participating in daily academic delivery
  • Relying on aggressive sales techniques or formulaic messaging
  • Operating in a setting where expectations, structure, or accountability are ambiguous

Key responsibilities

Create a high-integrity, high-yield admissions process that guides families from initial outreach to assured enrollment.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail
  • Availability to work on-campus in Miami, FL, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or parent-facing programs
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
