Description

This role is not about teaching—it's about designing experiences that lead adults to wonder, "A child accomplished that?" If you've been constrained by rigid curriculums, sluggish approval processes, or lowered expectations, this position offers a fresh start. You'll create ambitious, authentic Life Skills experiences where productive struggle drives learning and measurable progress serves as evidence.

Alpha Anywhere operates as a remote program serving students ages 8–14, cultivating life skills through live workshops and meaningful challenges rather than traditional lectures and worksheets. This position transforms a founder-led pilot into a scalable, faculty-delivered system. You'll design, facilitate, and refine the complete cycle—shipping workshops, developing independent challenges, implementing feedback loops, and producing showcases where students confidently present their achievements.

This is not a heavily supervised, risk-averse position. You'll be entrusted to solve problems, elevate standards, and document effective practices for future team members. If you excel with creative freedom, possess compelling on-camera skills, and trust that children can rise to difficult challenges, this could define your career.

If you want impact measured by genuine transformation rather than compliance, let's connect.

What you will be doing

  • Lead live, student-driven workshops where participants do the majority of speaking and working, while you adjust dynamically
  • Create independent, standalone challenges with explicit mastery standards and concrete deliverables students can complete without intensive individual support
  • Provide rapid, targeted feedback that clarifies "what's my next step?" and generates measurable progress at scale
  • Refine workshops based on evidence (results, observations, recordings, participant input) and record modifications so the program strengthens continuously
  • Organize showcases where students share their work with families and display tangible growth and self-assurance

What you will NOT be doing

  • Implement a predetermined curriculum or deliver lessons scripted by others
  • Dedicate weeks to grading, test preparation, or compliance-focused "checkbox" assignments
  • Navigate multiple approval layers before testing ideas, conducting experiments, and launching iterations
  • Depend on physical presence to generate energy; you'll establish engagement and drive through a screen

Key responsibilities

This position enables Alpha Anywhere to scale a faculty-led Life Skills program that reliably generates exceptional student outcomes and accommodates significant enrollment expansion without founder-dependent delivery.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience having created and executed at least one complete experience end-to-end (program, game, camp, training, performance, or comparable)
  • Direct experience working with students ages 8–14 in any setting
  • Compelling virtual presence with articulate communication and capacity to establish rapport on camera
  • Availability to work 40 hours/week with 70%+ of your schedule open between 8am–8pm CT, Monday–Friday
  • Dependable internet connection and a professional, stable environment for virtual facilitation
  • Proven capacity to operate in ambiguity, iterate rapidly, and maintain rigorous standards without compromising when students face difficulty

Nice to have

  • Background in experiential design (games, theater, youth programs, coaching, or startup-style development)
  • Experience creating objective rubrics, exemplars, or mastery-based assessments
  • Track record of documenting and systematizing your processes so others can replicate and enhance them
