Executive Coach   $150,000 USD/year

Description

  • Onsite in Dorado, Puerto Rico
  • 150,000 USD salary, paid weekly

This role is designed for professionals who have moved past conventional education settings and refuse to compromise standards for comfort. You will guide children and adults toward demanding goals using evidence and explicit criteria, not traditional instruction or scripted lessons.

Alpha School is constructing an AI-enabled environment in which students complete essential academics in only two hours per day, then dedicate their afternoons to developing practical life capabilities. Our commitment is both straightforward and rigorous: students enjoy school, progress at twice the pace of their peers, and acquire life skills. This position ensures that commitment becomes reality for every K–8 learner on our Dorado campus.

You will remain operationally engaged. You will deliver one-hour life skills sessions, facilitate structured sessions that drive students forward in academic applications, and coach Guides through direct observation and actionable feedback. This is neither a conventional teaching position nor a detached supervisory role. You will be held accountable for measurable outcomes, adherence to operational playbooks, and unrelenting standards.

If you are prepared to lead by example and establish a campus culture where achievement is earned through effort, apply and demonstrate how you enforce excellence without compromise.

What you will be doing

  • Deliver one-hour life skills sessions for K–8 students by preparing and executing activities precisely according to established playbooks
  • Conduct structured motivation sessions designed to drive students to progress in academic applications and reach targets
  • Observe Guides during instruction and provide standards-based coaching with specific improvement actions and consistent follow-up
  • Apply objective, evidence-based judgment to maintain mastery standards, even in challenging circumstances
  • Work closely with campus staff daily to ensure uniform execution of Alpha's 3 Promises

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deliver or tutor academic content using traditional classroom methods
  • Develop lesson plans or create curriculum materials
  • Deviate from established playbooks or improvise workshop content
  • Compromise mastery standards or adjust goals downward to create artificial "wins"
  • Operate from behind a desk managing administrative tasks while others engage directly with students

Key responsibilities

Ensure that every K–8 student at Alpha's Dorado campus reliably experiences Alpha's 3 Promises: they love school, learn 2× faster, and build life skills.

Candidate requirements

  • Authorized to work in Puerto Rico
  • Available to work full-time on-site at the Dorado, Puerto Rico campus
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience coaching individuals to ambitious outcomes
  • Experience working with children ages 5–14 in a coaching, motivation, or youth development capacity
  • Experience coaching or directing adult performance with explicit standards and accountability
  • Strong verbal communication capabilities for K–8 audiences
  • Data-driven decision-making capability (leveraging metrics and analytics to establish direction and maintain standards)
  • High-standards orientation with comfort providing direct feedback and sustaining goals without compromise
