Educational Consultant   $150,000 USD/year

Description

  • Onsite position in Dorado, Puerto Rico
  • $150,000 annual salary, disbursed weekly

If traditional school has become too small for you, and you are unwilling to compromise standards for comfort, this role offers a different path. You will guide students and adults toward ambitious goals using objective data and rigorous standards—not lectures or conventional lesson plans.

Alpha School is developing an AI-driven educational model in which students complete core academics in just two hours daily, dedicating afternoons to developing practical life skills. Our commitment is both simple and exacting: students love school, achieve learning outcomes 2× faster than peers, and build life skills. This role ensures that commitment is upheld for every K–8 student at our Dorado campus.

You will remain operationally engaged. You will deliver one-hour life skills workshops, facilitate structured sessions that advance student progress in academic applications, and provide Guides with direct coaching accompanied by specific, actionable improvements. This is neither a conventional teaching position nor a hands-off leadership role. You will be held accountable for measurable outcomes, adherence to established playbooks, and maintaining rigorous standards.

If you are ready to lead by example and cultivate a campus culture where results are earned through discipline, apply and demonstrate how you uphold high standards without compromise.

What you will be doing

  • Deliver one-hour life skills workshops to K–8 students by preparing materials and executing activities precisely according to playbooks
  • Facilitate structured motivation sessions designed to drive student advancement in academic applications and goal attainment
  • Observe Guides during implementation and provide standards-aligned coaching with specific improvement actions and accountability follow-through
  • Apply objective, data-informed judgment to maintain mastery standards, even in challenging circumstances
  • Work closely with campus staff on a daily basis to ensure consistent execution of Alpha's 3 Promises

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deliver or tutor academic content using traditional classroom methods
  • Develop lesson plans or design curriculum materials
  • Deviate from established playbooks or improvise workshop content
  • Compromise mastery standards or adjust goals downward to create artificial "success"
  • Manage from behind a desk through administrative tasks while others engage directly with students

Key responsibilities

Ensure that every K–8 student at Alpha's Dorado campus reliably experiences Alpha's 3 Promises: they love school, learn 2× faster, and build life skills.

  • Data-driven decision-making capability (leveraging metrics and analytics to guide decisions and maintain standards)
  • High-standards orientation with comfort delivering direct feedback and sustaining goals without compromise
