Description

  • Onsite position in Dorado, Puerto Rico
  • $150,000 annual salary, distributed weekly

If you have moved beyond traditional education and refuse to compromise standards for comfort, this opportunity will resonate. You will guide children and adults toward high-impact outcomes using data and precise benchmarks rather than conventional lectures and curriculum.

Alpha School is constructing an AI-enabled education model in which students complete core academic mastery in two hours daily, dedicating their afternoons to developing practical, real-world capabilities. Our commitment is straightforward and exacting: students find joy in learning, progress at twice the rate of their peers, and develop essential life competencies. This position ensures that commitment becomes reality for every K–8 student at our Dorado location.

You will remain operationally engaged. You will deliver one-hour life skills workshops, facilitate structured motivation sessions that propel students forward in digital academic platforms, and provide Guides with targeted feedback and actionable improvement steps. This is neither a conventional teaching position nor a passive managerial assignment. You will own outcomes, adherence to established protocols, and unwavering quality standards.

If you are prepared to lead by example and establish a campus culture founded on earned achievement, submit your application and demonstrate how you implement rigorous standards without compromise.

What you will be doing

  • Deliver one-hour life skills workshops for K–8 students by preparing materials and executing activities in strict alignment with playbooks
  • Conduct structured motivation sessions designed to drive students toward advancement in academic applications and goal attainment
  • Monitor Guides during instruction and provide standards-based coaching accompanied by specific improvement actions and accountability
  • Apply objective, metric-driven judgment to maintain mastery standards, even in challenging circumstances
  • Work closely with on-campus staff daily to guarantee consistent execution of Alpha's 3 Promises

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deliver or tutor academic subject matter using traditional classroom methods
  • Develop lesson plans or create new curriculum materials
  • Deviate from established playbooks or improvise workshop content
  • Compromise mastery standards or adjust goals downward to create artificial success metrics
  • Manage from behind administrative tasks while delegating direct student engagement to others

Key responsibilities

Ensure that every K–8 student at Alpha's Dorado campus reliably experiences Alpha's 3 Promises: they love school, learn 2× faster, and build life skills.

Candidate requirements

  • Work authorization for Puerto Rico
  • Capacity to work full-time on-site at the Dorado, Puerto Rico campus
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience coaching individuals to ambitious outcomes
  • Background working with children ages 5–14 in coaching, motivational, or youth development contexts
  • Track record coaching or managing adult performance using explicit standards and accountability frameworks
  • Excellent verbal communication skills tailored to K–8 audiences
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making (leveraging metrics and analytics to guide strategy and maintain standards)
  • High-standards orientation with confidence delivering direct feedback and sustaining goals without compromise
