Alpha School is constructing an AI-driven educational model in which students complete core academic work in two hours daily, then dedicate their afternoons to developing practical life competencies. Our commitment is straightforward and rigorous: students enjoy school, learn at twice the rate of their peers, and cultivate real-world skills. This role ensures that commitment becomes reality for every K–8 student at our Dorado location.
You will remain deeply involved. You will deliver one-hour life skills sessions, facilitate structured motivational meetings that advance students through academic platforms, and coach Guides using direct feedback paired with actionable improvement steps. This is neither a conventional teaching position nor a detached administrative role. You will be held accountable for measurable outcomes, adherence to established protocols, and maintaining uncompromising performance standards.

What you will be doing
- Deliver one-hour life skills sessions for K–8 students by preparing materials and executing activities precisely according to established playbooks
- Conduct structured motivation sessions designed to advance students through academic applications and achieve defined targets
- Observe Guides during instruction and provide standards-based coaching paired with explicit improvement actions and accountability follow-up
- Apply objective, metrics-driven judgment to maintain mastery standards, even in challenging circumstances
- Coordinate daily with campus personnel to guarantee consistent fulfillment of Alpha's 3 Promises
What you will NOT be doing
- Deliver or support academic content through traditional classroom instruction
- Develop lesson plans or create curriculum materials
- Deviate from structured playbooks or improvise workshop content
- Compromise mastery thresholds or adjust goals to artificially produce positive outcomes
- Manage remotely through administrative tasks while others engage directly with students
Key responsibilities

Candidate requirements
- Legal authorization to work in Puerto Rico
- Availability to work full-time on-site at the Dorado, Puerto Rico campus
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience coaching individuals to ambitious outcomes
- Experience engaging with children ages 5–14 in coaching, motivation, or youth development contexts
- Experience coaching or managing adult performance using defined standards and accountability frameworks
- Effective verbal communication skills appropriate for K–8 audiences
- Ability to make data-driven decisions using metrics and analytics to establish direction and enforce standards
- High-standards orientation with confidence delivering direct feedback and maintaining goals without compromise
