Senior Enrollment Manager   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions prioritize volume. This one is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing one of the most forward-thinking school models globally. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students routinely achieve learning gains that exceed national benchmarks, supported by measurable evidence. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your responsibility.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and continuing through onboarding. This is not a role where ownership is shared. You are accountable for the family experience, the clarity with which they grasp the model, and ensuring enrollment decisions are made with proper understanding. You will evaluate alignment, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize numbers. The objective is to ensure fit.

We welcome candidates from high-end service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, upscale hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership services, or entrepreneurial roles where you directly managed sophisticated client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a detailed, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and accountability.

If your career has centered on providing exceptional service where trust, discretion, and experience quality are inseparable from the brand, this role will resonate—only here, the work produces measurable outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring in Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Piedmont, Palm Beach, Charlotte, and Raleigh. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the entire enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial inquiry through onboarding completion.
  • Facilitating exploratory conversations to assess alignment before offering recommendations or advancing to subsequent stages.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across various enrollment phases, maintaining full transparency on progress and required actions.
  • Guiding campus visits, student shadow days, and decision-stage discussions that articulate outcomes, model expectations, and ideal candidate profile.
  • Keeping CRM and enrollment databases (HubSpot and SIS) current and accurate to enable forecasting, prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Admitting families who do not align with the model in order to meet enrollment targets.
  • Supervising a team or working through complex approval hierarchies.
  • Splitting responsibility for the family journey across multiple team members.
  • Operating remotely. This is an on-campus role by necessity.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-touch, selective enrollment process that successfully converts aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and effectiveness of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in contexts where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, upscale hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership organizations, or owner-managed services).
  • Proven ownership of a full-cycle client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial outreach through onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ simultaneous client, guest, or family engagements across multiple stages, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization method.
  • Capacity to offer specific examples of consultative judgment, including instances where you advised against your own product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional-level written communication experience with senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; San Francisco, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Palm Beach, FL; Charlotte, NC; or Raleigh, NC.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment processes.
  • Background in upscale hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions.
  • Experience designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service frameworks.
  • Proficiency with data and CRM tools to enhance conversion quality, not merely efficiency.
