You're an enterprise account manager tired of functioning as a polite renewal administrator. You understand how to maintain major accounts, ensure contract integrity, and sustain revenue flow—without requiring an army of CSMs, solution engineers, and enablement resources to support you. You can speak to a CMO about outcomes, engage a content director on execution, and address compliance teams regarding risk. And you can genuinely develop automation that transforms your workflow, not just "I use ChatGPT."

Contently operates in the enterprise segment where errors carry significant cost: regulated content. Financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and major consumer brands rely on us because brand safety, governance, and compliance are non-negotiable. What makes this compelling is that you're not entering cold accounts. You're taking ownership of an established enterprise portfolio where trust is already in place. Your objective is to convert that trust into retained and expanding revenue by demonstrating ROI in the client's terms and then scaling strategically. As you do this, you'll help shape what AI-enabled account management looks like in 2026 at a content platform because that playbook hasn't been written yet.

This role means owning renewals like a closer. It involves facilitating QBRs that resonate with executives because you can connect usage data to outcomes such as compliance risk mitigation and brand authority. It's identifying expansion opportunities proactively within the account and the broader market, then delivering a proposal grounded in what the client is currently doing and genuinely needs. It also means delivering automation quarterly that eliminates hours of repetitive AM tasks so your time can shift toward strategy, negotiation, and growth. If your understanding of "AI skills" is writing better emails more quickly, you will not thrive here.

You'll join a lean team where accountability defines the culture and autonomy is the benefit. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with product, support, finance, and marketing specialists when necessary, but you're the operator responsible for the outcome. What you will be doing

  • Account Renewals - Execute annual contract renewals on schedule, at or above existing ARR, with documented retention reasoning
  • Customer Success Plans - Maintain a per-account success plan that documents the client's objectives, health indicators, renewal schedule, and expansion pathway
  • AI Workflow Automation - Develop scripts or automation tools to manage routine activities (report generation, status updates, QBR data preparation)

What you will NOT be doing

  • New logo acquisition or cold outreach
  • Developing content marketing strategies for customers
  • Using AI tools solely for writing assistance or research

Key responsibilities

  • Retain and expand revenue across Contently's existing enterprise portfolio

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing enterprise accounts valued at $200K+ ARR at software company
  • Experience leveraging data (usage metrics, renewal history, platform engagement) to construct business cases for executive buyers
  • Capability to build AI workflow automations
  • Willingness to work US work hours (EST time zone)
