Artificial Intelligence Engineer   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Educational technology companies face a persistent obstacle: creating learning content that resonates with students while addressing their individual needs. The market is saturated with one-size-fits-all solutions that lack effectiveness, and evidence shows that when educational resources don't align with diverse learning preferences, student engagement declines sharply. This creates a critical gap in meaningful learning outcomes and increases pressure on teachers, who must deliver personalized, high-quality instruction within limited time and budgetary frameworks.

LearnWith.AI addresses this challenge directly through advanced AI technology that transforms content development. Rather than simply offering AI utilities, we design AI-powered platforms that produce dynamic, individualized learning resources. Envision an intelligent "Second Brain" for disciplines such as History or Science—a sophisticated knowledge engine that delivers compelling, responsive content efficiently and at scale. Our approach distinguishes us in a competitive landscape and expands what AI can achieve in education, making learning more inclusive, impactful, and engaging.

This role extends beyond conventional AI engineering. You won't be confined to routine programming or theoretical model work. You'll drive transformation in student learning by architecting and deploying AI-enabled workflows that deliver genuinely tailored educational experiences. This opportunity is not suited for those seeking predictable assignments or gradual optimizations—it's designed for forward-thinking innovators ready to leverage advanced technology for tangible, real-world outcomes.

In this position, you'll architect AI-driven educational solutions with the capacity to reshape the learning environment. You'll harness LLMs as subject-matter experts to construct contextual knowledge repositories and intelligent tutoring systems, ensuring our AI produces content that is both relevant and effective. If the prospect of applying AI to revolutionize education excites you, and you're prepared to own projects that challenge conventional limits, we want to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Developing Self-Improving AI Content Generation Systems – Agent-based workflows that produce educational materials and continuously enhance themselves through evaluation loops and iterative experimentation.
  • Constructing Evaluation Sets & Experiment Harnesses – Curated datasets (inputs → expected outputs) paired with scoring mechanisms to assess, benchmark, and refine the quality of AI-generated educational content.
  • Engineering Context Packs – Structured knowledge resources that deliver domain-specific grounding, enabling systems to produce accurate, high-caliber educational content across multiple subjects.

Key responsibilities

  • Help LearnWith.AI stand out in the competitive landscape by producing compelling, personalized educational content using AI-driven tools

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience embedding LLMs into production software products (building chatbots or utilizing basic coding assistants does not meet this requirement)
  • Track record of shipping a production system in which a self-improving agent iteratively refined the system itself (e.g., created its own tools, optimized its own reward function, etc.)
  • Proven experience developing evaluation or regression datasets that guide self-improving systems and establishing quantifiable success metrics
  • Hands-on experience with contemporary agent-orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
