School Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you instinctively map solutions when you encounter disorder, this role will suit you. Alpha serves students who learn at an accelerated pace, seek intellectual challenge, and are ready for meaningful responsibility. We combine demanding academics with practical life skills and a disciplined 2-Hour Learning framework so students advance with speed and confidence. We are looking for someone who can transform a dynamic school day into a streamlined, high-functioning operation—every transition, every handoff, every element executed precisely.

At our Austin location, you will be the operational backbone: protecting time for concentrated learning, ensuring safe and well-ordered daily functions, and removing barriers so Guides can focus fully on mentorship. You will manage facility logistics, frontline technology support, and family communication, building an environment where ambition is standard and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear standards, decisive action, and measurable results, this role is designed for you.

Apply to build a campus where students accelerate their learning, families recognize the impact, and operational precision is the foundation of everything we achieve.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the daily schedule with accuracy so 2-Hour Learning sessions begin promptly, remain undisturbed, and conclude effectively.
  • Addressing front-line technology issues (device configuration, initial troubleshooting) and coordinating with IT for escalations.
  • Overseeing campus safety and order: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor management, and facility preparedness.
  • Communicating effectively with students, families, and team members; resolving matters quickly and recording key decisions.
  • Facilitating campus events and transitions—onboarding, inventory management, space coordination—so the site consistently operates at readiness.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides manage student mentorship while you oversee operational systems.
  • Operating from a remote office; your responsibilities are visible and directly connected to student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in low-value tasks that do not enhance speed, safety, or the quality of the learning experience.

Key responsibilities

Maintain a campus environment that is consistently safe, prepared, and conducive to focus, enabling students and staff to prioritize learning and development over operational concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or a similar high-touch service setting.
  • Composed under pressure; proactive thinker capable of balancing competing demands while maintaining precision.
  • Proficient in basic IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (visa sponsorship not available).
