School Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position at our Austin campus.

If you spot disorder and immediately map out solutions, this role will suit you. Alpha serves students who advance quickly, seek challenges, and embrace accountability. We combine demanding academics with practical life skills and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework that enables rapid, confident progress. We're looking for someone who can transform a dynamic school environment into a streamlined, high-functioning operation—every transition, every handoff, every element precisely managed.

At our Austin location, you'll serve as the operational backbone: protecting dedicated learning time, maintaining safe and efficient systems, and removing barriers so Guides can focus entirely on mentorship. You'll oversee facility management, front-line technical support, and family communication, building an atmosphere where ambition is the standard and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear expectations, decisive action, and measurable results, this position is designed for you.

Apply to build a campus where students accelerate their learning, families experience the impact, and operational discipline provides the foundation for everything we achieve.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the daily schedule precisely so 2-Hour Learning sessions begin promptly, remain distraction-free, and conclude effectively.
  • Providing first-tier technical assistance (equipment setup, basic diagnostics) and coordinating advanced issues with IT.
  • Ensuring a secure, well-ordered campus: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor management, and facility preparedness.
  • Delivering clear communication to students, families, and colleagues; resolving matters quickly and recording outcomes.
  • Facilitating campus events—onboarding, programming, inventory and space coordination—so the site consistently operates at full readiness.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides manage student mentorship while you maintain operational systems.
  • Working remotely from an office; your role is campus-facing and directly influences student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in low-value tasks that don't enhance efficiency, safety, or learning quality.

Key responsibilities

Guarantee the campus is safe, organized, and responsive at all times so students and staff can concentrate on learning and development rather than operational distractions.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or another service-intensive setting.
  • Composed under pressure; proactive troubleshooter capable of balancing competing demands while maintaining precision.
  • Proficient with basic IT support and Google Workspace administration.
  • Professional, courteous written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (no visa sponsorship).
