Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you look at disorder and naturally map out the solution, this role will suit you. Alpha serves students who accelerate their learning, seek meaningful challenge, and expect genuine responsibility. We combine demanding academics with practical life competencies and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework so children progress swiftly and with confidence. We are looking for an implementer who can transform a dynamic school environment into an efficient, high-functioning operation—every transition, every exchange, every element executed correctly.

At our Austin location, you will be the operator who sustains momentum: protecting time for concentrated study, managing safe and structured daily operations, and removing friction so Guides can mentor without distraction. You will oversee facility logistics, frontline technical assistance, and family communication, building a setting where ambition is the norm and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear expectations, decisive action, and measurable results, this role is for you.

Apply to build a campus where students advance faster, families recognize the impact, and operational precision is the foundation of success.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the daily timetable with accuracy so the 2-Hour Learning sessions begin punctually, remain distraction-free, and conclude effectively.
  • Addressing initial technology requests (equipment configuration, basic diagnostics) and coordinating escalated issues with IT.
  • Upholding a secure, well-organized campus: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor management, and facility preparedness.
  • Communicating effectively with students, families, and team members; resolving matters promptly and recording outcomes.
  • Enabling campus events—orientations, programming, inventory and space coordination—so the location consistently operates at readiness.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or developing coursework; Guides manage student mentorship while you maintain the infrastructure.
  • Working remotely from an office; your role is visible and directly connected to student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Investing effort in low-value tasks that do not enhance speed, safety, or learning quality.

Key responsibilities

Ensure the campus setting is consistently secure, prepared, and conducive so that students and staff can concentrate on learning and development, not operational concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or another service-intensive setting.
  • Composed under stress; forward-thinking problem-solver who can balance competing demands without sacrificing precision.
  • Proficient with foundational IT support and Google Workspace administration.
  • Professional, courteous written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (no visa sponsorship).
