Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you look at disorder and naturally design the framework to fix it, this role will suit you. Alpha serves students who advance rapidly, seek rigor, and thrive on meaningful ownership. We combine demanding academics with practical life training and a focused 2-Hour Learning structure that accelerates progress with confidence. We're looking for someone who can transform a complex school day into a reliable, high-output system—every transition, every handoff, every element precisely managed.

At our Austin location, you'll be the driver behind seamless operations: protecting time for concentrated study, maintaining safe and organized daily functions, and removing friction so Guides can mentor without distraction. You'll oversee facility logistics, frontline technical assistance, and family communications, building an environment where ambition is expected and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear standards, decisive action, and measurable impact, this role is designed for you.

Apply to lead a campus where students accelerate their learning, families experience the results, and operational precision is the foundation of everything we accomplish.

What you will be doing

  • Executing the daily schedule with accuracy so the 2-Hour Learning sessions begin promptly, remain undisturbed, and conclude effectively.
  • Managing front-line technology support (device configuration, basic diagnostics) and routing escalations to IT.
  • Keeping the campus secure and orderly: safety drills, incident documentation, vendor management, and facility preparation.
  • Communicating effectively with students, families, and team members; resolving issues quickly and recording outcomes.
  • Facilitating campus events—onboarding, activities, inventory and space coordination—so the site consistently operates at readiness.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or designing curriculum; Guides manage student development while you maintain the infrastructure.
  • Working remotely from an office; your role is campus-facing and directly influences student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Wasting effort on low-value tasks that don't enhance efficiency, security, or the quality of education.

Key responsibilities

Ensure the campus environment remains consistently safe, organized, and conducive so that students and staff can concentrate on learning and development, not operational concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or another service-intensive setting.
  • Composed under pressure; proactive problem-solver capable of balancing multiple priorities with precision.
  • Proficient with basic IT support and Google Workspace administration.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (no visa sponsorship).
