College Admissions Consultant   $30 USD/hour

Description

Are you driven by the desire to guide ambitious students into prestigious universities through impactful achievements rather than test scores alone? Join us in demonstrating that students with extraordinary projects have a more compelling path to Harvard, Stanford, and MIT than those focused solely on grades.

At AlphaX, we empower outstanding high school students to create Olympic-caliber projects that enhance their college applications. Our students initiate million-dollar ventures, produce viral content, and design apps with widespread use. We seek a part-time college admissions consultant to help these students leverage their achievements for entry into elite institutions.

In this adaptable remote position (5-10 hours per week), you'll devise admissions strategies for students with exceptional projects. Your insights will aid them in crafting persuasive applications, guide parents through our successful approach, and share stories of how impactful work surpasses perfect grades in gaining admission to top universities.

If you're excited to influence the future of elite college admissions on your own terms, we'd love to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Lead monthly sessions with students to develop strategies that showcase their projects in college applications.
  • Promptly address inquiries from students and parents about elite college admissions.
  • Engage in informational sessions to explain why AlphaX projects excel over conventional academic paths.
  • Keep abreast of trends in elite college admissions and bolster AlphaX's reputation in the field.
  • Share evidence and success stories that support our innovative approach.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Adhering to traditional admissions methods focused solely on GPAs and test scores.
  • Working full-time or adhering to a strict schedule.
  • Managing standard college applications centered around basic extracurricular activities.
  • Overseeing day-to-day student project tasks.
  • Traveling or engaging in in-person work.

Key responsibilities

Revolutionize the path to elite college admissions by demonstrating that impactful real-world projects are more persuasive than flawless academic records.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven experience navigating elite college admissions with a degree from a top 50 US institution.
  • Background in helping students gain entry to top 10 colleges through roles in admissions, consulting, or mentoring.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of elite US college admissions, particularly for non-traditional candidates.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish trust with driven students and parents.
