Regional Financial Controller   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Ready to transcend the boundaries of traditional finance? At Trilogy, we're not looking for someone to maintain status quo—we're seeking an architect who can revolutionize financial systems for education's future.

Our portfolio of groundbreaking education ventures—spanning K-12 schools to cutting-edge EdTech platforms—demands a financial infrastructure as innovative as our learning models. This isn't about managing spreadsheets; it's about engineering the financial backbone that will support educational transformation at scale.

As our Regional Financial Controller, you'll craft an AI-powered financial ecosystem that eliminates bloat while maximizing impact. You'll be the mastermind behind tuition management, compliance excellence, and financial transparency—replacing complexity with elegant solutions and large teams with intelligent systems.

Working shoulder-to-shoulder with our senior leadership, your financial architecture will directly influence how millions of students access quality education. Your systems won't just process numbers; they'll enable educational revolutions.

If you're ready to build the financial foundation for education's next frontier, we're waiting to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Architect a revolutionary AI-enhanced financial ecosystem that powers our educational ventures' rapid growth
  • Craft strategic Design Decisions that transform complex financial processes into streamlined, scalable workflows
  • Provide expert written feedback on Deep Dives and Improvement Plans that elevates both human and AI performance
  • Engage in strategic discussions shaping budgetary decisions, market expansion, vendor partnerships, and regulatory compliance
  • Orchestrate frictionless financial operations across tuition management, audit preparations, and tax compliance at scale

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing a conventional, hierarchy-heavy finance department
  • Micromanaging routine monthly closings or transaction approval processes
  • Settling for off-the-shelf ERP solutions without customization
  • Creating distance between strategy and execution—you'll be hands-on in system building
  • Operating in a predictable, slow-moving environment—our pace is rapid and our trajectory is steep

Key responsibilities

Design, implement, and continuously refine a cutting-edge, AI-powered financial infrastructure that fuels multiple education businesses' growth trajectories while maintaining maximum efficiency and scalability with minimal overhead.

Candidate requirements

  • Professional financial certification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or MBA)
  • Proven 10+ year track record in progressive finance leadership positions (Finance Manager, Controller, CFO or equivalent)
  • Senior finance executive experience (SVP, CFO or comparable) with comprehensive oversight of all critical finance functions
  • Expert-level understanding of US GAAP and sophisticated financial statement integration
  • Extensive expertise in optimizing and managing ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP, etc.), particularly in multi-entity organizational structures
  • Successfully managed or participated in at least 5 external audits with Big 4 accounting firms, either as client or auditor
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of effectively engaging with executive leadership
  • Geographic location within UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of U.S. K-12 education operational models (private schools, charter systems, ESA program frameworks)
  • Track record of developing finance automation systems or implementing AI-enhanced workflows from concept to execution
  • Background in navigating financial operations across multiple business entities and regulatory jurisdictions
