Description

Product marketing is a frustrating job at most companies. The messaging your team produces is extremely important—but timelines are long, processes are cumbersome, everyone in the company feels like they have a say in your work, and salespeople complain about you as if they know what they’re talking about.

TelcoDR is disrupting the multibillion-dollar telco industry by moving to the public cloud. Our marketing processes have to be fast and efficient so that our key messages can keep up with our pace of product innovation. There are no opportunities for stakeholders to pull you in one direction or another, nobody will have the chance to water down your edgy content, and salespeople will stick to… well, sales.

As a product marketing leader at TelcoDR, you will be responsible for developing the provocative messaging that finally puts the change-resistant telco industry incumbents in the nursing home, where they belong. After all, disruption does not happen passively.

If you are ready to drive our streamlined, focused, and sometimes controversial product messaging process, then we look forward to meeting you!

What you will be doing

  • Developing unique product messages based on the value each product brings to its customers.
  • Identifying and targeting the most important customer personas for each product.
  • Reviewing campaign plans that serve as the conduit between your product messages and the target personas.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Writing marketing collateral. In this role, you will be equipped with a highly capable content team that will transform your ideas into reality.
  • Developing a multi-year company strategy. This has already been defined by executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop high-level marketing messages for game-changing telco products

Candidate requirements

  • Experience in product marketing for a technical or software product
  • Experience as the marketing decision-maker
  • Significant knowledge of the telco industry
