Senior Operations Analyst, gt.school (United States) - $60,000/year USD

Job ID: 4880
Description

Do you take pleasure in looking at and interpreting data? Are you passionate about education and want a role in a startup that wants to revolutionize how technology is used to learn? Were you a top scholar back in the day and got 5s on your APs? If yes, keep on reading…

We’re looking for individuals who:

  1. Have a natural passion for quickly grasping the most important insights from a set of data.
  2. Are able to output concise, data-backed insights in perfect English.
  3. Consider themselves to be consistent, high performers who rarely have ‘off-days’.
  4. Understand the importance of revolutionizing the education space with cutting-edge technology.

In this role, you’ll be directly working with our edtech company, GT School. First, you’ll develop an expert understanding of the data we collect on students and become familiar with all of the apps and systems we use to collect and store this information. You’ll then perform deep dives on this data, analyzing multiple data sources to help you draw important insights that will improve our programs and improve the student learning experience.

Not only will you gain valuable experience, but you’ll also receive regular coaching and training from a team of global tech experts and operations professionals. You’ll get constructive feedback on all of your work to help you develop and get a chance to meet daily with other team members to understand what they are working on.

Interested in a role that involves research, strategy, and insight generation in the cutting-edge field of education and technology? Apply below.

What you will be doing
  1. Participating in daily stand-up calls to solve the most important issues facing students on our program, or staff members such as Motivational Coaches, Academic Coaches, Program Directors, or leadership.
  2. Converting important decisions made by leadership into work units that a junior Operations team can perform.
  3. Creating robust processes that stand the test of time and capture all of the edge-cases to ensure maximum probability of success the first time around.
  4. Troubleshooting issues facing our students due to data issues, human error, or automation error; quickly strategizing a bulletproof solution that solves the issue and prevents further recurrence in the future.
  5. Working as a team to ensure progress is being made on key tasks by communicating with other Senior Strategy & Operations Analysts, Managers, and Vice Presidents to ensure no lapse in service for internal or external stakeholders.
What you will NOT be doing
  1. Collecting data or performing tasks that are administrative in nature - we have a junior operations analyst team to do this type of work.
  2. Providing loose or generalized solutions that don’t actually get implemented.
Key Responsibilities

Same as “What you will be doing”, above.

Candidate Requirements
  1. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  2. 2+ years of work experience working in a technical field
  3. Bachelors or Masters degree from a top 20 US University or top 50 global university.
