Description

At LearnwithAI, we're not just reimagining education; we're actively revolutionizing it. By leveraging cutting-edge AI technology, we aim to redefine the learning experience, making it faster, more engaging, and highly personalized. Our platform challenges traditional educational models, offering a digital, self-paced learning environment that's both captivating and effective. In this transformative landscape, we're looking for an AI Super Engineer to lead our core AI Engineering team to new heights.

As an AI Super Engineer, you will play a critical leadership role, driving the development and implementation of advanced AI technologies. This position demands a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and team leadership. You'll be responsible for guiding our AI initiatives, shaping their direction, and ensuring their alignment with our overarching educational goals.

What you will be doing

  1. Lead the design and development of sophisticated AI algorithms and models, particularly focusing on enhancing our educational content and core data models.
  2. Spearhead the creation of scalable, automated workflows for AI educational content, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Oversee the development of weekly prototypes for executive leadership review, demonstrating innovation and forward-thinking in AI applications.
  4. Drive thought leadership within the team, constantly exploring new methodologies in AI content creation and work processes.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in AI, applying this knowledge to keep our platforms and tools at the forefront of educational technology.
  6. Manage the timely delivery of AI content generators and their documentation, including delegating tasks to supporting teams.
  7. Collaborate closely with AI Operations & Academic Engineering teams to ensure AI-generated content is in line with our data structures and curriculum standards.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Admin work - we have a team of manual operations workers as well as an AI Operations team to take care of any low-value admin work, allowing you to focus your time on high-order bits.
  • Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and external leadership - instead, you'll work with our team of 70 colleagues internally; our department's leader takes care of relationship management.
  • Doing the same thing everyday, using the same tools - we actively encourage innovation and outside-of-the-box thinking. Our top performers are always proposing potentially game-changing ideas (and we implement them!).

Candidate requirements

  1. Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 1 year of experience in developing generative AI models, like GPT-4, with a deep understanding of their nuances, limitations, pitfalls, and best practices.
  3. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing technical teams and driving complex projects to successful completion.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills, innovative mindset, and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI in education.
  5. Ability to attend daily Stand-Up Zoom meetings at 9AM CST and commit to an 8-hour shift between 5 AM and 5 PM CST, Mon-Fri.

About Crossover

Work examples

Our core AI Engineering team had been working on an AI Content Generator that brought historical figures to life, in order to teach students. One day, we had the idea of leveraging this academic-focused AI Content Generator to support our marketing team in their advertising efforts. Within a few days, we managed to put together this creative marketing advertisement, built solely using generative AI.
