Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position located on our Austin, Texas campus. Relocation assistance is available.

Are you ready to shape the future of language acquisition for young students? At Alpha, you’ll join a team that’s reimagining education, where adaptive methods meet a passion for teaching. You’ll design and lead engaging English language activities that make learning an adventure for students, helping them gain confidence and skills in a nurturing, innovative environment. If you’re excited about creating a program that can grow and reach beyond a single classroom while making a real impact on students’ lives, this role is your chance to do something truly different.

At Alpha, we challenge the status quo with our 2-Hour Learning program, integrating AI-driven adaptive technology to personalize education like never before. While our students engage with cutting-edge software, they also benefit from the essential human touch with hands-on guidance in reading and writing, supported by experts in scientific educational methodologies. This balance ensures that all learners develop not only academically but also socially and emotionally under your mentorship.

Why Alpha? Because transforming education also means transforming your career potential. We offer competitive compensation, generous benefits, and the unique opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, tech-forward environment. If you're passionate about shaping the future of education and adept at building meaningful connections with students, we want you on our team.

What you will be doing

  • Create and deliver adaptive ELL/ESL/ESOL workshops and activities that help K-8th grade students rapidly improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Conducting motivational sessions and fostering an environment where students feel excited about their learning journey and reach their language goals.
  • Evaluating student progress to personalize learning activities and adapt instructional strategies to meet evolving needs.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Relying solely on traditional, lecture-based teaching methods without leveraging cutting-edge educational technology.
  • Adopting a one-size-fits-all approach to instruction—individuality in learning is at the core of our methodology.
  • Focusing only on in-person teaching without opportunities to influence the development of a scalable, virtual ELL/ESL program.
  • Overloading students with repetitive exercises that don't engage their interests or adapt to their learning pace.

Key responsibilities

Contribute to the overall growth and evolution of Alpha’s ELL program, ensuring that it remains cutting-edge and impactful for all students.

Candidate requirements

  • A degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Education, or a related field with a focus on language acquisition.
  • Experience in ELL/ESL/ESOL instruction for young learners, with demonstrated success in improving language proficiency.
  • Proficiency using Generative AI tools to personalize instruction and develop scalable learning modules.
  • Strong ability to engage and motivate students, using tailored motivational strategies that foster a love for learning.
  • Legally able to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
  • Willing to work in person at Austin, TX.
