AI Challenger   10-week AI engineering fellowship 100% free to attend; all in-person housing and expenses covered. $200,000/year AI engineering offer upon completion.

Description

You're not looking for another job. You're looking for a transformation. Welcome to The Gauntlet—an elite, 10-week AI engineering crucible that turns ambitious builders into the kind of talent companies fight over. There’s no tuition. No fluff. No theoretical lectures. Just full-throttle immersion in cutting-edge tools, intense product-building, and a guaranteed $200K job offer on the other side.

At Gauntlet AI, we don’t run bootcamps. We build battlegrounds. You'll work 80–100 hours per week alongside top-tier peers, using the latest AI tools—LangChain, Claude, GPT-4, Cursor, and more—to ship real products that solve real problems. You’ll live and work in Austin, TX (expenses paid), surrounded by founders, engineers, and mentors who expect—and give—everything.

This isn’t a place to "get exposure" or "learn the basics." It’s where you compress five years of growth into two months. It's where former Target employees become AI engineers, startup dreamers launch real apps, and talented but stuck developers finally break through. If you're ready to sprint into the AI era, this is your launchpad.

What if you could compress five years of learning, growth, and career acceleration into ten weeks—and walk away with a guaranteed $200K AI engineering role? That’s exactly what Gauntlet AI delivers.

The Gauntlet is not a course. It’s a full-immersion engineering crucible for the most driven, high-potential developers on the planet. You'll train 80–100 hours per week in an environment that demands everything—and gives back more. Zero tuition. All expenses paid. Real-world products built. Elite mentorship. And at the end, an offer for a $200K/year role in Austin, TX. This is the fastest way to become an elite AI engineer.

We’ve stripped away everything that slows traditional education down: lectures, theory, endless planning. Instead, you’ll learn through building, failing, shipping, and doing it all again. You’ll master AI-first development: LangChain, Claude, GPT-4, Replit, LangGraph, CrewAI, and more. You’ll launch real tools, contribute to open-source, and solve real-world problems—alongside peers who work like you do.

What you will be doing

  • Embedding agents, RAG systems, and open-source models into enterprise-grade apps
  • Contributing to open-source, collaborating with hiring partners, and shipping MVPs under pressure
  • Defending your portfolio in rigorous technical interviews and launching your final product on Demo Day
  • Leveling up constantly through extreme feedback, real users, and bleeding-edge tech drops

What you will NOT be doing

  • Sitting through lectures or passively watching tutorials—this is learn-by-doing, not learn-by-watching
  • Copy-pasting boilerplate projects with zero user impact
  • Navigating bureaucracy, office politics, or slow decision cycles
  • Paying tuition, taking on debt, or grinding through side gigs to upskill
  • Coding without AI—every project here is AI-augmented, by design

Key responsibilities

Transform yourself into an AI-first engineer capable of building and shipping products that outperform traditional dev teams—then do it again, faster.

Candidate requirements

  • Solid technical foundation in coding (verified through assessment), with the drive to rapidly upskill
  • At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience recommended
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and high personal initiative
  • Ready to begin the remote phase on June 16, 2025
  • Committed to relocating to Austin, TX for 7 weeks starting July 5 (housing and all expenses covered)
