Real Estate Operations Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

If you’re the person who fixes chaos before it hits the calendar, keeps everyone informed without being asked, and takes pride in being the reason things just work, keep reading.

This role owns the post-LOI real estate process: everything from getting critical documents across the finish line to coordinating inspections, landlord logistics, internal handoffs, and exec site visits. You’re not here to take notes. You’re here to make sure nothing gets dropped, nothing gets delayed, and everyone has what they need to turn an empty building into a fully operational school — on time.

You’ll be joining 2 Hour Learning, a fast-scaling education company built around a bold thesis: kids learn more in two focused hours than they do in a traditional eight-hour school day. As we open schools across the country, you’ll be the engine behind every launch — enabling the real estate team to focus on expansion while you drive execution to the finish line.

If you know how to turn chaos into coordination, we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Managing post-LOI landlord coordination: document collection, inspection scheduling, access protocols, and follow-ups — with zero dropped threads.
  • Routing internal requests across Ops, Treasury, and Legal — ensuring teams get exactly what they need to execute without delay.
  • Owning real-time document tracking, file management, and deal status — so every stakeholder works from a single, current source of truth.
  • Coordinating executive site visit travel: aligning flights, transport, agendas, and site readiness to maximize every visit.
  • Planning internal real estate events and school launches — ensuring venues, access, materials, and attendees are always locked in and ready.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Chasing status updates — you’ll own the tracker and drive clarity from day one.
  • Waiting for someone to tell you what to do next — this job is for self-starters who stay three steps ahead.
  • Creating pretty decks or managing real estate strategy — your job is execution, not pitch materials or deal negotiation.
  • Managing long, drawn-out closing processes — your focus is everything after the LOI, not before.
  • Babysitting stakeholders — you’ll have the EQ to handle tension, push back when needed, and keep everyone aligned without escalation.

Key responsibilities

Ensure all operational, legal, and logistical tasks between the LOI and lease execution are completed quickly, accurately, and with zero rework, enabling rapid property onboarding and school launches.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years of experience coordinating complex, multi-step logistics in fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate documents such as LOIs, redlines, COIs, or lease terms
  • Proven ability to maintain well-organized digital file systems with clear structure and version control
  • Strong written communication skills — especially for professional follow-ups and stakeholder updates
  • Demonstrated ownership of cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and deliverables
  • History of automating or systematizing recurring tasks using basic tools or workflows
  • Proficient with tools like Google Drive, shared trackers, calendars, and messaging platforms
  • Willing to travel up to 50% as needed
  • Located in the U.S. and eligible to work without visa sponsorship
