VP of Operations - Global Supply Management   $200,000 USD/year

Description

You design supply chains that scale without drama, last-minute heroics, or spreadsheets duct-taped together. You are a systems thinker who wants to build a global delivery engine that reliably equips new campuses at predictable cost and time.

Join 2 Hour Learning Schools to own the end-to-end supply, warehousing, and logistics model that makes every campus opening possible. This role is about system design, partner management, and AI-driven visibility—not day-to-day purchasing or back-office admin. You will build the models, automations, and partner network that let 2 Hour Learning open schools globally with zero critical-path supply failures.

Why now: 2 Hour Learning is scaling campuses fast and needs a single leader to turn repeated site openings into a repeatable, automated delivery program. Success means fewer surprises, tighter costs, and dashboards that show the truth in real time.

If you build reliable supply systems, hold vendors to measurable SLAs, and use automation to replace manual firefighting, we would like to meet you.

What you will be doing

  • Designing and documenting a scalable global supply, warehousing, and 3PL model that supports rapid campus openings
  • Defining and enforcing SLAs, negotiating contracts, and running performance dashboards for suppliers and logistics partners
  • Creating and deploying AI-enhanced procurement and visibility systems that forecast shortages and automate fulfillment workflows
  • Owning delivery execution for campus launches, coordinating kitting and freight, and verifying on-site readiness through audits and field checks

What you will NOT be doing

  • Performing ad-hoc purchasing or routine administrative logistics without ownership of the delivery system
  • Managing unrelated operations or finance functions outside of FF&E and supply delivery
  • Endlessly firefighting with spreadsheet tracking and manual status updates
  • Working in a role with vague vendor accountability or passive oversight

Key responsibilities

This role exists so that on-time, cost-efficient, and scalable delivery of all materials required for new 2 Hour Learning Schools campuses happens, ensuring operational readiness and AI-driven efficiency at global scale.

Candidate requirements

  • 7+ years in supply chain, logistics, FF&E, 3PL, or manufacturing operations, including management of outsourced logistics or warehouse partners at scale
  • Proven record of designing data-driven operational improvements and communicating insights through executive-level reports or client updates
  • Comfortable making operational decisions with incomplete information and taking ownership for outcomes, including direct client communication when issues arise
  • Regular use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for data analysis, process automation, or workflow optimization, with examples of practical use in professional settings
  • Experience thriving in high-growth environments (>50% annual growth), rapidly learning new domains, and building scalable systems under pressure
  • Located in the U.S., eligible to work without visa sponsorship, and available for 10–20% domestic travel

Nice to have

  • Experience with furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) and site kitting for education or retail rollouts
  • Background integrating procurement systems with ERP or TMS platforms
  • Familiarity with using generative AI or ML models for demand forecasting and exception detection
  • Prior work in high-growth, fast-rollout environments where scaling processes replaced manual work
