Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-run campus feels orderly, welcoming, and composed—because someone is consistently making the decisions that keep it functioning smoothly.

Nova Academy serves students and families who hold high expectations for their school experience. Those expectations go beyond classroom instruction. They show up in the clarity of communication with families, the sense of security students feel, the efficiency with which each day unfolds, and the speed at which challenges are addressed. This position ensures that all of those elements function reliably, every single day.

In this position, you own the complete non-academic operations of the campus. You establish trust with families by delivering clear and timely updates. You protect student safety by managing procedures and incident protocols. You oversee facilities, logistics, and operational systems so that staff remain focused on students. You also ensure that technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a hands-on, community-facing position for someone who thrives on variety, accountability, and service. If you are motivated by problem-solving, supporting a community, and building an environment where both students and staff can succeed, this role provides significant ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating strong connections with parents, students, and staff using proactive and bilingual communication
  • Overseeing campus safety functions, including entry protocols, health-related incidents, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Managing day-to-day campus operations including attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance support, and office coordination
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new staff to promote seamless integration into campus operations and culture
  • Administering student devices and campus technology systems, acting as the primary on-site technology contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum development
  • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or strictly clerical capacity
  • Working in an environment with low variability or high predictability
  • Delegating issues rather than owning them to completion

Key responsibilities

Ensure that Nova Academy functions safely, efficiently, and reliably so that students, staff, and families benefit from a high-trust, professionally managed campus environment every day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational roles
  • Proficiency with foundational technology tasks including device configuration, troubleshooting, and user account management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience managing operations
  • Prior experience serving in a Google Administrator role
  • Background in event planning and execution
