While most organizations ask you to maintain a single technology stack, we're asking you to consolidate and refine multiple stacks without service disruption. Where others separate databases, we take a different approach, strategically consolidating them to achieve cost efficiency and simplified management across our entire portfolio. This position isn't designed for someone content with routine infrastructure maintenance; it's built for someone who encounters fragmented, inconsistent systems and immediately envisions how to rebuild them better.
Your ownership will extend from infrastructure migrations to AI-driven automation, performance optimization, database migration projects, and cost management. This includes identifying and resolving existing issues, orchestrating cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and leveraging AI/ML-powered workflows to automate significant portions of operational work. You'll possess genuine decision-making authority over infrastructure choices—no extended waits for sign-off from stakeholders lacking technical depth.

What you will be doing
- Orchestrating and executing sophisticated infrastructure transformations, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud platforms and lift-and-shift migration projects
- Architecting and deploying monitoring strategies and creating automations for monitoring systems, software deployment pipelines, and operational processes
- Executing system monitoring, backup operations, incident management, database migration initiatives, database configuration, and cost reduction activities

Key responsibilities
- Advance reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio through implementation of comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
Candidate requirements
- Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our core platform - experience with other cloud providers alone is insufficient)
- Proficiency scripting with Python and Bash for routine administration tasks
- Demonstrated experience managing and migrating production databases across multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Expert-level Linux systems administration knowledge
