We need a DevOps and AWS infrastructure specialist who excels in demanding environments where 99.9% uptime is the baseline expectation. Most organizations ask you to support a single technology stack. We're asking you to consolidate and refine multiple stacks without causing disruption. Where other companies isolate databases, we take a different approach, consolidating them strategically to improve cost efficiency and simplify management across our product portfolio. This role isn't designed for someone content with maintaining the status quo; it's built for someone who encounters fragmented, inconsistent environments and immediately envisions a superior architecture.
Your ownership will extend from infrastructure migrations through AI-powered automation, performance optimization, database transitions, and cost reduction. This includes identifying and resolving existing issues, orchestrating cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and leveraging AI/ML-driven workflows to automate substantial portions of operational work. You'll possess genuine decision-making authority over infrastructure—no delays waiting for sign-off from stakeholders who lack technical depth.

What you will be doing
- Orchestrating complex infrastructure transformations, including transitions from legacy environments to AWS cloud platforms and lift-and-shift migration projects
- Architecting monitoring strategies and creating automation for monitoring systems, deployment pipelines, and operational processes
- Executing system monitoring, backup operations, incident management, database migrations, database configuration work, and cost reduction initiatives
What you will NOT be doing
- Spending time in Jira and prolonged status meetings - we prioritize individuals who deliver solutions rather than simply document issues
- Supporting legacy systems without end - you'll be authorized to implement substantial improvements
- Waiting on bureaucratic approval processes - you'll have authority to implement immediate resolutions during incidents
- Operating within restrictive technical boundaries - this position demands comprehensive technical knowledge across multiple domains
- Justifying budget for essential infrastructure enhancements - we recognize the value of infrastructure investment
Key responsibilities
- Drive reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our growing product portfolio by implementing robust monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
Candidate requirements
- Deep AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our primary platform - other cloud experience alone won't cut it)
- Experience scripting with Python and Bash for day-to-day administration operations
- Experience managing and migrating production databases with multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
- Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Linux systems administration expertise
