DevOps Architect   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Ready to be the architect of chaos-to-order transformation? We're seeking a masterful DevOps Architect who gets an adrenaline rush from turning complex, legacy infrastructure puzzles into elegant, automated solutions. Picture yourself as the conductor of a technical symphony, orchestrating multiple acquired products into a harmonious AWS ecosystem where 99.9% uptime isn't just a goal—it's the norm.

This isn't your typical "keep the servers running" role. We're looking for someone who sees a labyrinth of fragmented systems and thinks, "Challenge accepted!" You'll be the strategic mind behind consolidating diverse tech stacks, optimizing databases, and crafting AI-powered automation that makes infrastructure incidents as rare as a bug-free Monday.

If you're the type who automates yourself out of repetitive tasks, gets excited about near-zero-downtime migrations, and believes in fixing problems at their root rather than applying band-aids, we need to talk. You'll have the keys to the kingdom—real decision-making power to implement your vision without drowning in red tape.

What you will be doing

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, includes:

  • Orchestrating sophisticated infrastructure transformations, including seamless AWS migrations that would make a cloud architect proud
  • Creating intelligent monitoring systems and automation workflows that practically run themselves
  • Mastering the art of system reliability through strategic monitoring, bulletproof backups, and lightning-fast incident response
  • Conducting database wizardry across multiple platforms while keeping costs optimized

What you will NOT be doing

  • Drowning in endless status updates and Jira ticket ping-pong—we believe in action over administration
  • Playing caretaker to legacy systems that should have been retired yesterday
  • Waiting for multiple signatures while production is on fire—you'll have the authority to act
  • Getting pigeonholed into a single technology or system
  • Begging for resources to implement critical infrastructure improvements

Key responsibilities

Your core mission is to be the guardian of reliability and standardization across our cloud infrastructure. You'll implement state-of-the-art monitoring systems, craft intelligent automation solutions, and ensure AWS best practices are not just followed, but exceeded.

Candidate requirements

  • AWS expertise that goes beyond certifications—you should dream in CloudFormation
  • Programming prowess in Python or JavaScript that enables you to create robust automation tools
  • Database mastery across multiple engines (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL) with proven migration experience
  • Container orchestration expertise with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
  • Linux systems administration skills that would impress Linus Torvalds
