We need an AWS and DevOps maestro who can handle high-pressure environments where uptime is crucial. You'll be the mastermind behind migrating diverse products into a cohesive, scalable AWS platform, crafting automation and monitoring solutions that minimize incidents.

While many roles focus on maintaining a single stack, we challenge you to optimize multiple stacks without disruption. Instead of isolating databases, you'll strategically consolidate them to enhance cost-effectiveness and management efficiency across our portfolio. This isn't about maintaining status quo; it's about envisioning and implementing a more streamlined environment.

From infrastructure migrations to AI-driven automation, you'll tackle performance tuning, database migrations, and cost optimization. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving issues, executing cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and leveraging AI/ML workflows to automate tasks. You'll have the autonomy to make impactful infrastructure decisions, bypassing lengthy approval processes.

What you will be doing

  • Orchestrating complex infrastructure transitions, including moving from legacy systems to AWS cloud platforms and executing lift-and-shift migrations
  • Crafting and executing comprehensive monitoring strategies and automating monitoring, software deployment, and operational processes
  • Overseeing system monitoring, backups, incident management, database migrations, configurations, and optimizing costs

  • Spending your days in Jira or endless status meetings; we value proactive problem solvers over mere problem trackers
  • Prolonging the life of outdated systems; you'll drive substantial improvements
  • Being stalled by bureaucratic delays; you'll have the power to implement immediate fixes
  • Being confined to narrow technical niches; this role demands both broad and deep expertise
  • Struggling for budget approval for necessary improvements; we recognize the value of investing in infrastructure

Key responsibilities

  • Enhance the reliability and standardization of our cloud infrastructure across an expanding product suite by implementing effective monitoring, automation, and adhering to AWS best practices.

Candidate requirements

  • Extensive expertise in AWS infrastructure (our primary platform - experience with other clouds alone is insufficient)
  • Proficient programming skills in Python or JavaScript for automation and tool development
  • Experience in managing and migrating production databases with various engines (MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
  • Advanced skills in Docker/Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
  • Expertise in Linux systems administration
