Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position at our Austin, Texas campus.

Picture yourself as the architect behind why an 8-year-old delivers a business pitch that rivals seasoned entrepreneurs, or why a 10-year-old commands an audience with the confidence of a TED presenter. At Alpha, these outcomes aren't aspirational—they're standard. We create life skills workshops that empower K–8 students to achieve what seems impossible, and we're seeking someone who can design experiences so compelling that children eagerly return and parents enthusiastically share their success stories.

This position breaks the mold of conventional instructional design. You won't be making minor adjustments to curriculum within a slow-moving institution or developing materials that sit unused. Instead, you'll take full ownership of workshop design in entrepreneurship and public speaking, refining them continuously using direct feedback from students, parents, and rigorous Test2Pass assessments. You'll function as an independent product team of one, leveraging advanced AI tools to deliver the caliber of work our schools demand.

This role requires full-time, in-person presence at our Austin, TX campus. Direct observation of how children actually interact with content is essential. If you're driven to create educational experiences that are simultaneously joyful, remarkable, and mastery-focused, this opportunity is designed for you.

What you will be doing

  • Crafting mastery-focused life skills workshops in entrepreneurship and public speaking that captivate students and earn parental praise.
  • Developing rigorous Test2Pass assessments to objectively track student progress and mastery.
  • Observing live workshop sessions and converting student engagement patterns and parent insights into design enhancements.
  • Leveraging AI tools to explore deeply, synthesize findings, and speed up iteration processes.
  • Balancing emotional impact with academic integrity, consistently pursuing both delight and rigor in content.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Depending on fixed curricula or conventional academic standards.
  • Working in isolation: this position requires ongoing input from actual students and parents.
  • Creating materials without measurable results or defined mastery benchmarks.
  • Facilitating workshops directly (our Guides handle delivery).

Key responsibilities

Design compelling life skills workshops in entrepreneurship and public speaking that engage children, impress parents, and measurably build mastery through Test2Pass. Empower students to accomplish feats beyond their expected developmental stage.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience developing educational content, workshops, or trainings
  • Proven ability to create experiences that captivate children and satisfy parents
  • Demonstrated experience designing assessments that measure genuine skill acquisition (not merely attendance)
  • Strong ability to deconstruct and simplify complex life skills into learnable components
  • Proficient with Gen AI tools
  • Capable of working autonomously within a high-independence, self-managed team
  • Available to work full-time in-person at Alpha's Austin campus
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
