Curriculum Designer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

MASTER BUILDER WANTED: Design Workshops That Turn 8-Year-Olds Into Confident Entrepreneurs and Compelling Public Speakers

At Alpha, we don't just teach life skills—we transform children into their future selves years ahead of schedule. Our Austin campus is seeking an exceptional Curriculum Designer who can craft educational experiences so powerful that parents can't stop talking about them and children beg to return.

This is curriculum design with immediate, visible impact. You'll witness firsthand as your workshops enable elementary students to pitch business ideas with the confidence of seasoned entrepreneurs and command stages with the presence of TED speakers. You'll operate as a one-person product team, leveraging cutting-edge AI tools while receiving real-time feedback from your actual users—the students and parents who experience your work.

What you will be doing

  • Design mastery-driven workshops in public speaking and entrepreneurship that challenge conventional expectations of what K-8 students can achieve
  • Develop rigorous Test2Pass assessments that objectively measure skill acquisition and mastery, not mere participation
  • Observe workshops in action, collecting real-time data on student engagement and translating insights into immediate design improvements
  • Leverage advanced AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, and iteration cycles for continuous workshop refinement
  • Balance emotional engagement with academic rigor, creating content that delivers both delight and demonstrable results

What you will NOT be doing

  • Implementing outdated curricula or designing to traditional academic benchmarks that limit student potential
  • Working in isolation from your end users—this role demands constant interaction with and feedback from actual students and parents
  • Creating educational materials without clear mastery targets or measurable outcomes
  • Delivering the workshops yourself—your focus is exclusively on designing exceptional experiences that our Guides will facilitate

Key responsibilities

Create transformative life skills workshops that enable children to achieve capabilities years beyond their chronological age, demonstrating measurable mastery through rigorous Test2Pass assessments while delighting both students and their parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Minimum 1 year experience creating educational content, workshops, or trainings with demonstrable results
  • Proven track record of designing experiences that captivate children while earning parent approval
  • Experience developing skill-based assessments that measure genuine capability acquisition, not participation
  • Exceptional ability to decompose complex life skills into clear, teachable components
  • Proficiency with generative AI tools and willingness to leverage emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated success working independently in high-autonomy environments
  • Commitment to working full-time in-person at our Austin, Texas campus
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
