You will function as the principal designer of our transformative learning ecosystem for your assigned school model, encompassing multiple campuses. What you will be doing

  • Designing and systematically refining an AI-powered learning ecosystem that demonstrably surpasses conventional education, validated by concrete improvements in student performance metrics
  • Interacting directly with students via virtual channels to comprehend their learning journeys, obstacles, and achievements, applying these insights to drive ongoing enhancement of the learning ecosystem
  • Analyzing learning platform data to identify actionable patterns and develop high-impact academic strategies utilizing AI/ML, learning science, and motivational research 
  • Fostering a culture of ambitious experimentation and data-informed decision-making, utilizing evidence to achieve breakthrough advances in student growth patterns
  • Collaborating with platform engineering, data science, and design teams to convert academic insights and student input into integrated product improvements

What you will NOT be doing

  • Digitizing traditional education with an AI veneer. This is not about transferring classroom teaching to screens – we are fundamentally reconceiving learning from first principles.
  • Examining data from a distance. You will be required to consistently interact with K-12 students, treating their input as critical feedback from our primary customers.
  • Seeking unanimous approval before challenging conventions. You will advance a visionary agenda and mobilize stakeholders around evidence-based outcomes.
  • Adhering to established methods. You will have latitude to pilot innovative strategies for motivation, evaluation, and pedagogy. 
  • Viewing AI as a threat to education. In this role, you will embrace AI as a powerful instrument to transform learning, not as a risk to be managed.

Key responsibilities

Lead innovation in AI-enabled, teacher-independent education to achieve outstanding student results across multiple campuses. Integrate data analytics with consistent student interaction to perpetually refine our learning ecosystem, as evidenced by AP exam scores and MAP assessment gains.

Candidate requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • Leadership experience in education or EdTech
  • Experience applying AI technologies in an educational or professional context
  • Experience designing and implementing AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
  • Strong understanding of learning science principles and data-driven educational approaches
  • Proven ability to communicate complex educational and technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
