Learning Experience Designer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: This position requires full-time, on-site presence at our Austin, Texas headquarters.

Picture this: A third-grader confidently presenting their startup concept with the poise of a seasoned entrepreneur, or a fifth-grader delivering a speech that leaves adults speechless. At Alpha, these aren't rare moments—they're our daily reality. We create transformative learning experiences that empower elementary students to achieve extraordinary feats, and we need a visionary designer who can build workshops so compelling that children count down the days until their next session.

This isn't your typical curriculum development position. You won't be lost in educational red tape or creating materials that gather digital dust. Instead, you'll architect complete workshop ecosystems focused on communication mastery and business acumen, then refine them through direct student engagement and comprehensive performance metrics. Think of yourself as a learning product innovator, leveraging advanced AI capabilities to deliver experiences that exceed our community's highest standards.

Our Austin campus is your creative laboratory—being physically present isn't optional because observing authentic student interactions is fundamental to breakthrough design. If you're passionate about creating educational magic that's both joyful and achievement-focused, this opportunity will unleash your potential.

What you will be doing

  • Architecting transformative workshops in communication excellence and entrepreneurial thinking that captivate young minds while earning parental praise.
  • Developing comprehensive Test2Pass evaluation systems that provide concrete evidence of student advancement and skill acquisition.
  • Conducting live workshop observations to capture authentic student responses and incorporate family feedback into continuous design enhancement.
  • Leveraging artificial intelligence platforms to explore possibilities, synthesize research, and streamline your creative process.
  • Balancing inspirational storytelling with educational rigor, consistently delivering experiences that spark wonder while building competence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Depending on outdated curriculum frameworks or conventional educational standards.
  • Working in isolation: this position requires ongoing collaboration with active learners and engaged families.
  • Creating content without clear success metrics or defined skill-building objectives.
  • Facilitating sessions directly (our dedicated Guides handle workshop delivery).

Key responsibilities

Design captivating life skills experiences in communication and business fundamentals that inspire student enthusiasm, earn family respect, and produce measurable competency growth through Test2Pass evaluation. Empower young learners to accomplish feats that surpass typical age expectations.

Candidate requirements

  • Four-year college degree in any discipline
  • Minimum one year developing educational materials, experiential learning, or professional development programs
  • Documented success creating engaging experiences that excite children and satisfy parents
  • Track record developing meaningful assessments that evaluate actual competency (beyond mere engagement)
  • Exceptional analytical skills to transform sophisticated concepts into age-appropriate learning sequences
  • Advanced proficiency with generative artificial intelligence platforms
  • Thrives in autonomous, self-managed team environments
  • Committed to full-time, on-campus presence at Alpha's Austin location
  • Valid U.S. work authorization without requiring visa support
