Curriculum Developer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: This position is exclusively for full-time, on-site team members at our Austin, Texas headquarters.

Picture this: a third-grader confidently presenting their startup concept with the poise of a seasoned entrepreneur, or a fifth-grader delivering a speech that leaves adults speechless. At Alpha, these aren't rare moments—they're our daily reality. We create transformative life skills experiences that empower K–8 students to achieve what seems impossible, and we need a visionary who can design programs that students crave and families celebrate.

This isn't your typical curriculum development position. You won't be buried in outdated educational frameworks or creating materials that collect digital dust. Instead, you'll architect complete workshop ecosystems focused on public speaking and entrepreneurship, then refine them through direct student engagement, family insights, and our comprehensive Test2Pass evaluation system. You'll function as a standalone innovation team, leveraging advanced AI technology to deliver the exceptional quality our partner schools demand.

Our Austin, TX headquarters is where the magic happens—this role requires full-time, on-site presence because witnessing authentic student interaction is absolutely essential. If you're passionate about creating educational experiences that are simultaneously delightful, extraordinary, and achievement-focused, this opportunity will unleash your potential.

What you will be doing

  • Architecting achievement-focused life skills experiences in public speaking and entrepreneurship that captivate students and earn family praise.
  • Developing comprehensive Test2Pass evaluation systems to accurately track progress and skill mastery.
  • Conducting live workshop observations and converting student enthusiasm plus family insights into curriculum enhancements.
  • Leveraging AI technology to explore possibilities, consolidate findings, and streamline development processes.
  • Balancing content for maximum emotional impact and educational integrity, consistently pursuing both engagement and excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Depending on outdated curriculum models or conventional educational standards.
  • Working in isolation: this position requires continuous collaboration with actual students and families.
  • Creating content without clear success metrics or defined skill objectives.
  • Facilitating workshops directly (our dedicated Guides handle program delivery).

Key responsibilities

Develop compelling life skills experiences in public speaking and entrepreneurship that students eagerly anticipate, families enthusiastically endorse, and that measurably build expertise through Test2Pass methodology. Empowering young learners to accomplish extraordinary achievements.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 year developing educational materials, workshop content, or training programs
  • Proven track record creating experiences that engage children and satisfy parents
  • Established expertise developing assessments that evaluate genuine competency (beyond mere attendance)
  • Exceptional analytical and simplification abilities to transform sophisticated life skills into learnable components
  • Advanced proficiency with generative AI platforms
  • Capable of thriving in a high-independence, self-managed work environment
  • Committed to full-time, on-campus presence at Alpha's Austin location
