Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin, Texas campus.

Picture yourself as the catalyst behind an 8-year-old delivering a business pitch that rivals most professionals, or a 10-year-old owning the stage with the confidence of a TED presenter. At Alpha, these outcomes aren't aspirational—they're standard. We create life skills workshops that challenge K–8 students to achieve what others consider impossible, and we need someone who can design experiences that students eagerly return to and parents rave about.

This isn't conventional instructional design work. You won't spend time adjusting lesson plans within a cumbersome bureaucracy or developing content that sits unused. Instead, you'll take complete ownership of workshop design in entrepreneurship and public speaking, then refine them continuously using direct feedback from students, parents, and our demanding Test2Pass assessment framework. You'll function as a self-contained product team, leveraging advanced AI tools and delivering work that meets the high standards our schools demand.

This position requires full-time, in-person presence at our Austin, TX campus. Observing authentic student engagement firsthand is essential, not optional. If you're driven to create educational experiences that are simultaneously joyful, astonishing, and mastery-focused, this role offers that opportunity.

What you will be doing

  • Creating mastery-focused life skills workshops in entrepreneurship and public speaking that captivate students and earn parent approval.
  • Developing rigorous Test2Pass assessments that objectively track growth and skill mastery.
  • Observing students during live workshops and converting their energy alongside parent insights into actionable design enhancements.
  • Leveraging AI tools to explore deeply, synthesize findings, and speed up your iteration process.
  • Crafting content that balances emotional impact with academic integrity, consistently pursuing both delight and rigor.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Depending on fixed curricula or conventional academic standards.
  • Working in isolation: this position requires ongoing interaction with actual kids and actual parents.
  • Creating materials without measurable outcomes or defined mastery goals.
  • Facilitating workshops yourself (our Guides handle that).

Key responsibilities

Design compelling life skills workshops in entrepreneurship and public speaking that students love, parents respect, and that verifiably build mastery through Test2Pass. Enable children to accomplish feats beyond their expected developmental stage.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience creating educational content, workshops, or trainings
  • Demonstrated ability to design experiences that delight kids and impress parents
  • Proven experience building assessments that measure real skill (not just participation)
  • Strong decomposition and simplification skills to break complex life skills into teachable steps
  • Proficient with Gen AI tools
  • Able to work independently on a high-autonomy, self-directed team
  • Willing to work full-time in-person at Alpha's Austin campus
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
