Head of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions focus on driving volume. This one is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the most ambitious educational models in the world. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-enabled learning, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students routinely demonstrate learning velocity that exceeds national benchmarks, supported by measurable outcomes. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and real-world competency development. The model is proven. But its success depends entirely on enrolling the right families. That is your mandate.

You will be accountable for the complete admissions process for a campus, spanning initial application to final enrollment. This is not a coordination role. You own how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment decisions are grounded in the right motivations. You will evaluate alignment, facilitate substantive discussions, and recommend refusal when appropriate. The objective is not volume maximization. The objective is strategic fit.

We welcome candidates from premium service sectors outside conventional education: selective independent schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurial operators who have personally directed high-value client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a high-touch, multi-phase process with discernment, clarity, and accountability. If your career has been defined by delivering white-glove service where trust, discretion, and experiential quality are brand-defining, this role will resonate. Apply now to bring that excellence to work with enduring impact.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the enrollment lifecycle for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-based discovery conversations to evaluate alignment before introducing solutions or advising on next steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varying enrollment stages, maintaining full transparency on status and planned follow-up.
  • Directing campus tours, shadow day experiences, and decision-oriented discussions that articulate outcomes, expectations, and model suitability.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment data management (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deploying transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Admitting families lacking alignment simply to achieve enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a large team or navigating complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing family experience ownership across multiple roles.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires campus presence by design.

Key responsibilities

Own and deliver a high-trust, highly selective enrollment process that secures the right families while safeguarding the integrity and performance standards of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, personalized service in contexts where service excellence directly influences brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated services).
  • Proven accountability for a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial engagement through onboarding.
  • Track record managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family relationships across multiple stages, supported by an effective tracking and prioritization system.
  • Capacity to supply specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you advised against your own offering when fit was inadequate.
  • Professional written communication proficiency with senior executives, high-net-worth individuals, or discerning clients.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these markets: Malibu, CA; Los Angeles, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP concierge services, or executive-level client support.
  • Experience designing or optimizing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely velocity.
