Facilities Support Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person role located at our NYC campus.

Exceptional operations demand exceptional talent. At Alpha, we're not just running a school—we're powering an educational revolution where gifted students complete high school academics by 8th grade.

Our campus requires a meticulous operational architect who thrives in a high-performance environment. While traditional schools settle for adequacy, we deliver excellence through our 2-Hour Learning model that produces students with 5s on APs and 1350+ SAT scores. This isn't about maintaining the status quo—it's about creating the operational foundation that enables academic acceleration at twice the traditional pace.

As our Facilities Support Specialist, you'll orchestrate the systems that allow our guides to focus exclusively on developing brilliant young minds. You'll be the operational cornerstone of an educational model where excellence isn't just encouraged—it's expected. If you're ready to elevate campus operations to match the caliber of our ambitious academic mission, we're ready for you.

What you will be doing

  • Orchestrate daily campus operations with precision and foresight, ensuring our accelerated learning environment functions flawlessly
  • Provide first-line technology support and troubleshooting, maintaining our digital infrastructure that powers student achievement
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with our community through strategic communication that reinforces our mission and values
  • Execute and enhance campus safety protocols, creating an environment where brilliant minds can focus on limitless growth
  • Drive critical campus initiatives including event coordination, staff integration, and facilities optimization

What you will NOT be doing

  • Developing or delivering academic content—our specialized guides handle the intellectual development while you perfect the operational environment
  • Performing isolated administrative functions with minimal impact—every task you undertake directly supports our mission of accelerated excellence
  • Managing routine paperwork that doesn't advance our educational model—we prioritize meaningful operational work that elevates our campus

Key responsibilities

Architect and maintain the operational excellence that powers our revolutionary educational model—creating a campus environment where systems run seamlessly, exceptional students reach their full potential, and families experience the transformative difference of Alpha's approach to gifted education.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 2 years managing complex operational systems in education, events, hospitality, or comparable environments
  • Demonstrated excellence in crisis management, proactive problem-solving, and independent prioritization of competing demands
  • Proficiency with fundamental IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration
  • Exceptional communication skills that build and maintain community confidence
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship and commitment to on-site presence at our NYC campus
