School Operations Coordinator   $100,000 USD/year

Description

NYC-BASED POSITION: This is a full-time, on-site role at our Manhattan campus.

Seeking an operational mastermind who's ready to break educational boundaries. At Alpha, we're not just teaching—we're transforming how brilliant young minds prepare for tomorrow's challenges. Traditional schools move at a crawl; we sprint.

Our extraordinary students complete high school curriculum by 8th grade, achieve perfect AP scores, and surpass 1350 on SATs. Behind this academic excellence is our innovative 2-Hour Learning model that doubles traditional learning speed—and we need you to be its operational cornerstone.

As our School Operations Coordinator, you'll orchestrate everything from campus safety to technology infrastructure, creating the foundation that allows our educational guides to mentor effectively. This isn't your standard administrative position. You'll support an environment where intellectual achievement is celebrated, independence is cultivated, and potential knows no limits. Ready to help architect the future of education for exceptional students? Join the revolution that's redefining what gifted education can achieve.

What you will be doing

  • Orchestrate daily campus operations with precision and foresight
  • Provide frontline technology support, troubleshooting devices and liaising with IT specialists for complex issues
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships across our community through transparent, effective communication
  • Champion and execute comprehensive safety protocols to maintain our secure learning environment
  • Drive success for campus initiatives including community events, staff integration, and facilities management

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or designing curriculum—our specialized guides handle the educational journey while you perfect the operational landscape
  • Performing disconnected administrative functions without seeing their direct impact on student success and family experience
  • Managing mundane clerical tasks that don't directly advance our mission of accelerated learning and student excellence

Key responsibilities

Power the operational excellence behind an educational revolution. You'll create and maintain the seamless infrastructure that enables our campus to function flawlessly, directly contributing to an environment where students achieve extraordinary results and families experience education reimagined.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience managing complex operational systems in educational institutions, event management, hospitality sectors, or comparable environments
  • Demonstrated excellence in crisis management, self-directed problem solving, and simultaneous priority management
  • Practical proficiency with technology troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration
  • Exceptional communication skills that build trust and foster community connections
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship and commitment to on-site presence at our NYC campus
