Description

NYC-BASED POSITION: This is an on-site, full-time opportunity at our Manhattan campus.

Ready to break free from educational mediocrity? Alpha is shattering conventional learning paradigms for exceptionally gifted students, and we're seeking an operational powerhouse to orchestrate our revolutionary approach.

We're not your typical educational institution—we're accelerating brilliant young minds to complete high school curriculum by 8th grade, achieving 5s on AP exams and 1350+ SAT scores. As our Head of Operations, you'll be the vital infrastructure supporting our innovative 2-Hour Learning model that enables students to progress at twice the traditional pace.

Your domain will span from maintaining ironclad campus security to managing technological resources, creating the optimal environment where our educational guides can focus exclusively on nurturing extraordinary talent. Unlike conventional administrative roles, you'll be immersed in a culture where academic excellence is celebrated, self-reliance is cultivated, and students are challenged to expand beyond perceived limitations. If you're passionate about transforming education for gifted learners while helping develop tomorrow's visionaries, this is your opportunity to make an indelible impact.

What you will be doing

  • Orchestrate flawless daily campus operations that support our accelerated learning environment
  • Provide frontline technology assistance, resolving device issues and liaising with IT specialists when necessary
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships across our ecosystem—students, parents, and staff—through exceptional communication
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety protocols to ensure campus security
  • Champion essential campus initiatives including community events, staff integration, and facilities oversight

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or designing educational content—our specialized guides handle the intellectual development while you create the optimal operational framework
  • Operating in a vacuum without seeing the tangible impact of your work on student achievement and family experience
  • Processing mundane paperwork that doesn't directly advance our mission of accelerated, boundless learning

Key responsibilities

Power the operational excellence behind an educational revolution—create and maintain a campus environment where logistics are seamless, young minds flourish unimpeded, and families experience the transformative difference of our approach every single day.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 2 years managing complex operational systems in education, event coordination, hospitality management, or comparable fields
  • Demonstrated excellence in crisis management, proactive problem-solving, and independently balancing competing priorities
  • Proficiency with fundamental IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration
  • Exceptional communication abilities that foster community confidence and engagement
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship and commitment to on-site presence at our NYC campus
