Learning Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

You've already tested yourself—in competition, in creative pursuits, or in high-pressure professional environments. Now you're ready to channel that achievement into something meaningful. As a coach at Alpha Anywhere, you'll empower students to accomplish the extraordinary: embrace learning, accelerate their progress, and develop into confident, independent thinkers. And you'll do it from any location worldwide.

Alpha Anywhere represents the virtual advancement of Alpha's innovative educational model. We combine AI-driven instruction with two 1:1 coaching sessions each week to provide what traditional classrooms cannot: individualized mastery, velocity, and drive. It's not tutoring. It's not conventional teaching. It's performance coaching for students who are prepared to learn 2x faster—and require someone to help them reach that potential.

You'll partner with students in grades 3 through 8 from around the world to generate tangible academic progress through mindset transformation, not direct instruction. Your mission is to maintain high standards, cultivate belief, and make the learning experience feel like achievement. Every coaching session you conduct matters. Every insight you catalyze counts. If you're seeking meaningful impact, you've found it.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting two 1:1 virtual coaching sessions weekly with each student, centered on academic target-setting, drive, and mental approach
  • Hosting open "office hours" where students can join for immediate support, motivation, or problem-solving
  • Leveraging AI platforms and performance dashboards to monitor student advancement, detect obstacles, and refine your coaching tactics
  • Recording observations, concerns, and tactical adjustments to keep each student on an accelerated growth path
  • Working alongside your team to exchange methods, raise issues, and continuously refine the coaching framework

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction, evaluating assessments, or creating assignments—our technology manages the academics
  • Presenting lectures or adhering to a prescribed curriculum
  • Babysitting or overseeing unengaged students—we coach, not supervise
  • Attending pointless meetings or navigating bureaucracy
  • Coasting—this team is designed for people who want to operate at an elevated level and create real impact

Key responsibilities

Generate measurable academic progress and student engagement in a virtual environment by providing frequent, high-impact mindset coaching within a fully remote, technology-enabled framework.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating K–8 students
  • Proven high performance in any field—academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or the arts
  • Strong virtual presence and ability to connect with students quickly over Zoom/Google Meet
  • Comfortable using dashboards and tech tools to track and adjust performance
  • Able to work at least 70% of hours between 7am–10pm EST, Monday to Friday, to align with U.S. time zones

Nice to have

  • Background in performance coaching, sports psychology, or motivational work
  • Experience working with homeschool or alternative education families
